Zweckmässig wird ausser der zum Bei spiel kapazitiven Hauptabstimmung, zu wel chem Zwecke ein Drehkondensator üblicher Bauart angewendet werden kann, eine ihren Abstimmsinn mehrmals ändernde, zusätzliche induktive Abstimmung zwangsläufi"' mitbe- trieben, welche den Verlauf der resultie ren- den Abstimmung so beeinflusst, dass in den Gebieten der Bänder Abflaehun;
Die Wirkung der zusätzlichen Abstim mung kann hierbei zum Beispiel so bemessen werden, dass an einer Stelle der Abstimm- kurve, welche für die Hauptabstimmung allein 28 Meter entsprochen hätte, (Abszis- senskala I) durch gleichzeitige Wirkung der zusätzlichen Abstimmung (Induktivitätsver- minderung) sich der Abstimmwert von 26 Meter ergibt (Abszissenskala II). Das 25-Meterband wird sich hierbei also bis zu einem Punkt erstrecken;
In diesem.

Arrangement for stretching the band in radio sets for short wave reception. The invention relates to such radio devices which, for example, in addition to tuning for medium and long waves, are provided for tuning short waves and in which the tuning of one or more frequency bands is carried out with band stretching.
In devices of this type, which are used to receive a large shortwave range, for example from 16 to 50 meters in wavelength, an appropriately sized tuning capacitor is usually used for tuning. It is ready to be proposed, in addition to this main tuning, the band stretching of individual or all bands by capacitive or inductive acting additional tuning means, which was done by separate actuation.
The invention relates to such an arrangement for stretching the tape, but in which the interaction of the main vote with the additional vote inevitably and automatically takes place when the main vote is actuated.
According to the invention, while the main voting is progressing continuously, an additional voting that counteracts the same, reduces the voting effect of the main voting and influences the course of the resulting voting so that the voting curve is flattened in one or more bands (Tape stretching) takes place.
In the voting areas between the bands, preferably after the band has been swept, it is advisable to use an additional voting that is aligned with the main voting, increases the effect of the main voting and influences the course of the resulting voting in such a way that the voting curve is steepened in one or the other several areas between the ligaments takes place.
In addition to the capacitive main tuning, for example, for which purposes a variable capacitor of the customary design can be used, an additional inductive tuning that changes its tuning direction several times is inevitably operated, which influences the course of the resulting tuning in such a way that that in the areas of the ligaments flattening;
and in the areas between the bands, steeper pitches of the tuning curve arise. The additional tuning is advantageously dimensioned and designed in such a way that the tuning area between 32 and 48 meters wavelength, in which the main tuning is supported by additional tuning, is largely concentrated.
The constant tuning curve of the main tuning can thus be changed by the effect of the additional tuning, for example, so that the tuning is stretched in the tuning areas of the bands, and the tuning is largely compressed in the areas between the bands.
The course of the additional tuning is designed in such a way that, following a tape brushing, an accelerated tuning, preferably a sudden increase in the tuning by spring action (in the same direction as the initial tuning),
causes extensive crowding or a 1_fibersprung of the area between the bands.
The application of the additional tuning can extend to all or only the most important tunable circuits of the device. When the invention is used on transmitter arrangements, for example for measuring purposes, the additional universal tuning for performing the band flattening can be assigned to the frequency-determining oscillator.
In the case of Superlietei o (1yne receivers, the additional tuning for band stretching will not only be assigned to the oscillator circuit, but also to the tuning circuits for the reception frequency, whereby the circuits can be synchronized in the usual way.
In the same way, the band stretch can also be assigned to blocking and singing circles (absorption circles).
For additional inductive tuning, a series or parallel coil can be used for the wire or for parts of this coil, although known tuning cores are to be used.
I) The additional coordination can be achieved by inelirere, successively acting. inevitably operated with the main mood. Cores that interact with the circular coil are made of bent metal or high-frequency iron mass in determinable intervals.
The Zeicbnun shows examples of the subject of the invention. In the example according to FIG. 1, the cores 6-7-8 (corresponding to the number of bands) are designed as metal lamellae and are arranged on the circumference of the disk 5, -elche on the Rehse 5n de = capacitor befe.stir ,, t is.
The exact setting of the cores is made possible by screwing and bolting and bending. During the vote, the disk 5 is accordingly rotated, with the cores G-8, one after the other in the immediate vicinity of the coil 1 and its core? be led past. The arrangement of the parts can be seen from FIG.
A screw core 4 is used to balance the coil and a solid core to increase the tuning effect. When the metal office, l- lE, n is passed by (for example made of aluminum sheet), the indihtivitiy of the coil 1 is first reduced, up to a minimum value.,
which can be determined by radial adjustment of the lamella or by regulating its distance from the core 2 of the coil I.
In the further passing, the indulgence is then increased to its initial value. The tuning process is bolted again in the same way by the next following lamellae.
The width of the lamellas, together with the coil diameter, determines the range of the inductive tuning. The interaction of the main vote with the additional vote can be seen from FIG. The tuning curve A-B for a section of the main tuning is shown as a straight line, the wavelength being plotted vertically and the scale division corresponding to the angle of rotation of the main tuning element (for example rotary capacitor) in meters of wavelength horizontally.
The wavelength or capacitance is said to increase in the direction of the arrow when the disk 5 (FIG. 1) is actuated. At point a of the tuning curve, which could for example correspond to a wavelength of 25 meters, the lamella 7 is at the beginning of its tuning effect.
The increase in capacitance is partially canceled out during further tuning in the direction of the arrow by the reduction in inductance, which results in a flattening of the resulting tuning curve in section c-b.
The effect of the additional vote can be measured, for example, in such a way that at one point on the tuning curve that would have been 28 meters for the main tuning alone (abscissa scale I) through the simultaneous effect of the additional tuning (inductance reduction) the tuning value of 26 meters results (abscissa scale II). The 25 meter tape will extend to a point;
which would otherwise have been 28 meters, which corresponds to a belt stretch of 3 to 1. The course of the additional vote by itself is shown in dotted lines on Fig. 2 (bottom). In the case of a greater expansion, of around 4 to 1, the area of action of the additional adjustment would have to be expanded up to the 29 meter point, whereby the effect of the same (h) would have to be increased accordingly.
In the further voting in section bc of the resulting voting curve, the main voting is supported by the effect of the additional voting (increase in inductivity) and runs steeply to point e, at which, at 31 meters, the next following band is swept with the aid the neighboring slat 8 can begin. As can be seen, the stretching of the tape from 25 to 6 meters took place at the expense of the compressed 2 voting area between 26 and 31 meters.
The course of the tuning curve for the additional tuning when sweeping the strip can be kept regular and:, straight, using various aids. For this purpose, as shown in FIG. 1, one lamella edge can be chamfered.
The use of cores (2) with a rectangular cross section is also advantageous. Likewise, by suitably designing the lamellae, the areas between the bands can be largely compressed.
If a variable capacitor is used for the main tuning, the bands with a wavelength of 16, 19, 25, 31 and 50 meters can be tuned one after the other in one tuning, because the tuning range is not restricted by using the band stretch described.
In order to achieve greater expansions, the division of the coil to be influenced into two sub-coils 1 and 3 according to FIG. 4 can be advantageous. In addition to the two inner cores 2 and 4, the adjustable outer core 10 is also provided, which can be used to adjust the inductance. The tuning effect of the lamella 6 as well as the course of the tuning can be adapted to higher requirements in this embodiment.
Instead of the homogeneous metal core 6, a flat one made of high-frequency iron (earth core) can be used with this arrangement with good effect, whereby a significant increase in the inductivity is achieved as a result of the extensive closure of the magnetic path.
When a disk 5 provided with such cores is rotated in the direction of the arrow, first an increase in the inductivity, then a decrease of the same up to the initial value will occur, so that the band will subsequently stretch into a compressed area .
In the same way, the coil arrangement according to FIG. 5 with a largely closed core made of pigtail frequency iron is well suited for greater abstinence effects. Either a homogeneous metal core 6 or a core made of high frequency iron can be used here.
In some cases it will be advantageous to combine cores made of homogeneous metal with, for example, cores made of high frequency iron and allow them to act one after the other, with an increased tuning effect and an enlarged area of action, based on the angle of rotation of the disk 5, being achieved can.
If the disk 5 (Fig. 1) is on the axis of the variable capacitor, the arrangement can be made so that two coils, the oscillator coil and the input circuit coil, are influenced by the pale disk 5 with cores. In this. Trap, the two coils are offset from one another by 180 degrees with twice the number of cores (6-8).
In another embodiment according to Fiz. 6, the cores 2, 4, 6, 8, which are attached to the remote guide 5, for example a cord, are passed in sequence through the field of the coil 1, where the interaction with the main vote as in the first embodiment - example handled. Ah voice cores made of single-frequency iron or those made of homogeneous metal can be used.
The additional inductive tuning can also be done by a tuning core located in the coil field, movable in both directions. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 7, the disk 5 is attached to and with the axis 5a of the main tuning element (for example a rotary capacitor). the adjustable MÜn <binern 11 to 13 provided.
When the disk rotates, the movement is transmitted through conductive engagement to the lever 9, which is rotatably mounted at point 16.
At the beginning of the vote of a band see the take-away (pin) 13 in the shown, tel.lten position. When the disk 5 rotates in the direction of the arrow (increasing capacity), the lever 9 is continuously shifted to the right counter to the spring action, the movement being transmitted to the core axis 17 .
In this case, the cores 2 and 4, which exist at the breakout frequency iron, are shifted in the field of coils 1 and 3 in the sense of a reduction in inductance. which resulted in a reduction in the tuning effect of the capacitive main tuning.
With the further rotation of the Seheibe 5 it follows along the steep lever edge a \ riiekwä, rtige movement of the lever 9 and the cores 2 and 4 under the action of the springs 18.
With regard to the measurement of the core effect, which can be arbitrarily influenced by the design of the lever edges and the position of the catches 11 to 13, the statements made with regard to FIGS. 1 and 2 apply if the application is appropriate. The arrangement can also according to FIG. 8 are taken.
The actuation of the lever 9 takes place here by the adjustable ble cam sections 11 to 15, which with. the pin of the lever 9 (or role) men act together. In this embodiment, the separate adjustability .des corresponding to the curve section for each individual band should be mentioned as an advantage.
In both examples (Fig. 7 and Fig. 8), the arrangement is such that, with a long curve section for the belt expansion, the smallest possible angle of rotation for the tuning area between the belts (reset) is created, and that, ss a,
borrowed. In the direction of rotation against the arrow, the steep section is overcome without noticeably impairing the gait. For this purpose, in the embodiment according to FIG. 7, a special auxiliary lever 9a is advantageous, which is arranged on the lever 9 in such a way that the sliding movement is converted into a rolling movement.
The two coils 1 and 3 (Fig. 7 and Fig. 8) can be assigned to the oscillator and the input circuit of a superhet receiver, which are matched by the corresponding sections of the variable capacitor 8 in the usual way.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 8, the transmission to the core axis 17, which is mounted in the frame 19, is effected by the rope wheel sector 21. The spring 18 attached to the core axis 17 is supported on the core carrier 22 to which the cores 2 and 4 are attached. The coils 1 and 3 are arranged on the assembly floor 24 and ver sets that mutual interference is avoided. By spring action 18 in the direction of the arrow, the lever 9 is brought to the safety Ren support on the curve sections 11 to 15 of the disc 5.
The lever 9 and the cable wheel sector 21 can be mounted at different points on the shaft 10, with a direct attachment of the shaft 16 by two bearing brackets 10 to the rotary capacitor 8 being expedient. For reasons of stability, the mounting base 24 is also attached indirectly to the variable capacitor 8.
Following the tuning of the 31 meter tape (curve section 14), there is an immediate and extensive increase in the inductance of coils 1 and 3 due to the introduction of tuning cores 2 and 4 made of high-frequency iron into the coils. The lever 9 now slides along the edge of the curve section 14.
Such an interaction of the inductive tuning with the capacitive main tuning of the capacitor 8 results in an extensive compression of the tuning area between 3.2 and 48 meters N wavelength. This crowding enables the 31-meter tape to be laid at a height of 49-50 meters, so that a considerably larger voting space is gained for the tapes of 13, 16, 19, 25 and 31 meters.
If necessary, a step for the less important 41-meter tape can be provided in section m-n. The coordination of the last band of 48-50 meters is done by the curve section 15, which works together with the help lever 9a. When coordinating the bands between 13 and 31 meters, the cores 2 and 4 can move back and forth in the position shown in the initial part of the coils 1 and 3, at which position the effect of the coils on the inductance of the coils is even less is effective and runs steadily.
After the 31-meter tape, on the other hand, there is an extensive introduction of the cores with full effectiveness.
The arrangement of the core tuning can also be made in such a way that the reduction in inductance that is brought about during the band tuning is not fully made up after the strip has been swept when the core is reset, but that this backlog is only made up when the inductance is increased It is connected to the 31-meter tape.
You will therefore start with a core position in which the cores are already half inserted into the coils.
A second core 2a made of homogeneous metal, which cooperates with the iron mass core 2, can be provided for better regulation of the course of the core tuning during the strip coating. The setting of the core 2a can be done by thread.
The curve sections 11 to 15 can also be designed as circular sections, it being possible for them to be fastened and adjusted, for example, by screws. In some cases, the bobbins of the coils 1 and 3 will also be arranged so that they can be adjusted for the purpose of equalization, although other adjustment methods known per se, such as subdivided and windings, can be used. When setting up, the arrangement will be made such that the coils are accommodated below the chassis floor 20.

The band stretch according to FIG. 10 can also be operated beyond the beginning of the next following band, for example up to point b-1, which can be determined by appropriate dimensioning of the lever 9 and the position of the pins 12, 13. The transition to the next following band will then not take place at the beginning but, for example, in the middle of the band, which can again be completely coated from this point.
The lever 9 can also be used to operate a special display device (scale) for band tuning, with one or more Ska len being provided for the individual bands at will. On the other hand: the main display device (main scale) can be driven by the disk 5 in the usual manner, with the bands on the main scale being arranged next to one another (directly lined up).
The torque reset of the inductive tuning can also be used in the arrangement with a tangentially adjacent lever, according to FIGS. 7 and 8, the engagement of the pin with the curve section taking place from different sides of the curve section, depending on the direction of rotation of the disk 5 .
The arrangement can also be carried out in such a way that part of the bands can be adjusted and stretched in one direction of rotation and the other part of the bands in the other direction of rotation of the disk 5. This allows the tuning range of the scale for bands to be evaluated twice.
Signaling means of a mechanical or electrical type can be used to display the band being voted on.
In cooperation with the main capacitive tuning, additional capacitive tuning, which is directed against the main capacitive tuning during the strip sweep, can also be used in some cases.
In consideration of the circuit capacitance, which changes constantly with the vote, the change in capacity of the additional vote will have different effects at the beginning and at the end of the tuning range, so that a more difficult deviation must be expected.
In connection with an inductive main tuning, a capacitive additional tuning of part is in the same way, although an inductive additional tuning, because of their simple training, can be used.
As an additional capacitive vote, for example, a capacitive device with telescopic capacitor used in place of the inductive vote according to FIG.
In addition to the additional adjustment for the stretching of the band, electrical switchings of various types that are known per se, such as the addition of capacitances or inductances, must also be actuated when the adjustment is activated.
The belt stretching can be switched off, for example when coordinating other areas, by moving the control lever appropriately (lifting it off the disc).
