<SEP> h.
<SEP> der <SEP> Abstand, den die Kerne zwischen den den Höchst- und Mindestinduktivitäten entsprechenden Stel lungen durchlaufen, untereinander gleich sind. Infolgedessen werden auch die .Spulen alle eine gleiche Länge besitzen. Falls der Frequenzbereich sämtlicher Kreise gleich ist, stellen sich einer solchen Bauart keine Schwierigkeiten entgegen;

<tb> also <SEP> in <SEP> diesem <SEP> Beispiel <SEP> annähernd <SEP> bei

Tuning device for overlay receivers. The invention relates to a tuning device for heterodyne receivers, in which each of the tuning circuits is formed by a capacitor and a coil, the inductance of which is changed for the purpose of tuning in that a core made of magnetic material is moved in the field of the coil, which cores can be set by a common actuator,
and at the between. at least one of the circles and the other a constant frequency difference is maintained.
Various methods are already known through which, when tuning by means of sliding core coils, the desired constant frequency difference between the tuning of the pre-circuits and the oscillator circuit in a heterodyne receiver remains.
However, the known methods often adhere to practical and economic disadvantages, because they complicate the production and setting. The aim of the invention is to create a simple device in which the constant frequency difference remains with particularly great accuracy over the entire frequency range.
According to the invention, this purpose is achieved in that means are provided by which the effect of a winding with a variable pitch is achieved in the coil which forms part of the circle with a different frequency curve.
This effect is expediently achieved in that the coil in question is wound in at least two layers at the end where the core enters the coil. Further possibilities for improving the synchronization over the entire frequency range are offered by attaching one of the layers so that it can be adjusted in the direction of the axis against the coil and adjusting the position of this layer in such a way that the deviation from the target frequency is as close as possible in the middle of the frequency range becomes small and thereby
that the core belonging to the oscillator coil is shifted in the direction of the axis against the other cores in such a way that this core enters the associated coil later than the other cores.
The invention is explained in more detail in an embodiment example with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which FIG. 1 shows a circuit diagram of the tuning device of a superimposition receiver, while FIGS. 2 and 3 show structural details of an embodiment of the invention.
FIG. 4 shows the error profile of the device according to FIGS. 1 and 2.
The tuning device according to FIG. 1 contains a circuit 5 tuned to the incoming signal and an oscillator circuit 6. The input circuit 5 contains a coil 7 with a sliding core 8 and the oscillator circuit 6 contains two inductors 9 and 10 which are coupled to one another and which together be adjusted by means of a sliding core 11 which, as indicated by the dashed line 12, is mechanically coupled to the sliding core 8.
The parallel capacitance of the input circuit consists of a fixed capacitor 13 and a half-variable ble trimmer capacitor 14, which last rer is set at the lowest frequency of the range. The input circuit is on the one hand at the point 15 ver connected and on the other hand to a high frequency source, z. B. to an antenna 16, ge suitable coupling elements, z. B. a capacitor 17 connected.
The second coordinated circuit 6 contains a parallel capacitance 18, 19, which is made up of two parts in series, the capacitance 19 being adjustable. Similar to capacitor 14, capacitor 19 is set to the correct value at the lowest frequency of the range.
Furthermore, the antenna-side end of the input circuit 5 is connected to the input control grid 22 of a mixing tube 23 and the oscillator circuit is in three-point connection between the first control grid 28

<tb> practical <SEP> always <SEP> in such a way <SEP> will be <SEP>, <SEP> that <SEP> the
<tb> lay lengths <SEP> of the <SEP> cores, <SEP> d. <SEP> h.
<SEP> the <SEP> distance that the cores pass through between the positions corresponding to the maximum and minimum inductances are equal to one another. As a result, the coils will all have the same length. If the frequency range of all circuits is the same, there are no difficulties with this type of construction;
If, however, as in the present example, the tuning device forms part of a heterodyne receiver in which the oscillator always has a constant frequency difference with the pre-circuits and in addition the frequency range of the oscillator circuit is lower, special measures must be taken be taken, through which this constant frequency difference is made possible with the same pitch length of the cores.
If the tuning system is to be well suited, for example, for the broadcasting range from 550 to 1500 kHz and if an intermediate frequency of 450 kHz is used, it can be seen that the high-frequency circuits between 550 and 1500 kHz must be tuned. and therefore a frequency range of to 1 must have, the oscillator circuit must be tuned between 1000 and 1950 kHz so for which purpose a frequency range of 2: 1 is required.
Since the frequency of a matched circuit is in the opposite relationship to the square root of the inductance, a smaller change in inductance is required for the oscillator circuit than for the input circuit.
The inductance of an iron core coil is maximum when the iron core fills the space inside the turns as completely as possible. Therefore, increasing the diameter of the oscillator coil will reduce the inductance range.
In the present example, the prerequisite is that the diameter of the oscillator coil has been increased to such a value and that the parallel capacitors of the circuits have such a value that the correct frequency is used at the highest and lowest frequencies in the range - the frequency difference between the oscillator circuit and the pre-circuit occurs.
In Fig. 2 it is shown that the outer diameter of the coil body 46 is larger than that of the coil body 45, in such a way that at the frequencies 550 and 1700 kHz the frequency difference between the oscillator circuit and the input circuit corresponds to the intermediate frequency.
For such a frequency range, good results are obtained with a coil length of approximately 29 mm for both coils, while the diameter of the oscillator probe is approximately 10 mm and that of the coil of the pre-circuit is approximately 7 mm.
Although the correct frequency difference occurs in this way at the two outermost points of the wavelength range, a more or less significant deviation will occur in the middle of the wavelength range. This deviation is compensated for in that one of the coils, expediently the oscillator coil, is built in such a way that the effect of a coil with a variable slope results. The number of turns per cm increases gradually or in stages after the end of the coil where the core enters.
If the pitch is changed in stages, the coil can be divided into a number of parts, each with a different pitch.
In practice, however, it is very difficult and therefore expensive to wind a coil with a variable pitch. The effect of a coil with variable pitch can be achieved by winding the coil in at least two layers at one of the ends, in the present case at the end where the core enters the coil. This is indicated in FIGS. 1 and 2 by the coil part 10, which forms a continuation of the part 9 in the same winding direction. In this way, the effect of a different slope in the section of the coil 9 surrounded by the part 10 is achieved.
In bobbins of the dimensions as given above, if the coil 9 was wound with wire of 11.18 mm with a pitch of 25 turns per cm, while the coil 10 over a length of 1 cm with 16 in the same From each other lying turns ge was wound, over the coil part common to the turns 9 and 10 achieved an effek tive slope that matched 42 turns per cm. In this way, the effect of a coil can be achieved, the pitch of which is different in one part than in another part, without actually changing the winding pitch.
Here, the deviation in the middle Ge area of the frequency range is very well compensated, although there is a small deviation from the desired frequency at the end of the coil where the core enters the coil. However, this deviation can be corrected in a simple manner that the core of the oscillator coil relative to the cores of the other coils by a small distance, z. B. by 11 / i mm, is pushed back in such a way that the core of the oscillator circuit enters the coil later than the cores of the other circles.
This difference in position between the two cores has been expressed in FIG. 2, it being indicated at the same time that it can be adjusted in that the drive pins 48 are provided with threads 55 and nuts 56.
As a result of the above-mentioned measures, the deviation from the desired frequency runs together between the pre-circuit and the oscillator circuit, as indicated by the curve 58 in FIG.
The deviation from the desired frequency difference is plotted in percent on the vertical axis of the graph and the frequency in kHz is plotted on the horizontal axis. The points of intersection 59 and 60 of the line 58 with the line indicating a zero deviation are through the turns of the second

<tb> this <SEP> is required to <SEP> achieve <SEP> the <SEP> correct <SEP> frequency range, whereby the turns <B> 10 </B> are arranged on the coil side, g <B> o </B> e on which the core enters the coil. The turns 9 and 10 are in series so that they are positively coupled to one another and, as it were, a continuous coil bil.
The number of turns of the coil 10 is less than that of the coil part 9, and the axial length thereof is also less.
An advantageous method for measuring the oscillator coil is as follows: At the lowest frequency of the wavelength range at which the cores are entirely in the coils, the capacitors 14 and 19 are set to the correct value so that the correct frequency difference is present there is.
Then both cores are shifted together so that the circles are matched to the frequency at which the steepness of the curve, which indicates the relationship between the change in inductance and the core position, is a maximum, thus in the above-mentioned example a frequency of 1200 kHz. The position of the coil part 9 in relation to the coil part 10 is then adjusted in such a way that the maximum sensitivity occurs at this frequency,
whereupon the coil part 10 is cemented in place.
