Seats for automobiles. In motor vehicles, seating furniture made of steel raw material is used, in particular, at the front, which has the advantage of being light in weight and inexpensive to produce.

The only disadvantage: this seating furniture is that; the seat height can only be adjusted with difficulty to the person using the seat; the embodiments used so far are limited to the fact that the backrest can be more or less inclined.

As far as the seat height is concerned, a thicker or thinner cushion must be placed underneath if necessary.

The invention relates to a piece of seating furniture in which the seat can be raised or lowered, not only in advance, but by the person sitting himself. According to the invention, who is:

The seat is mounted on struts, which are alternately articulated on two sliding runners, which are operated by means of tie rods on one of the seats and in several1 different seat heights correspond to the positions. lockable levers are connected.

The accompanying drawing shows schematically an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.

The seat 1 with the backrest 2, which can be folded in a manner known per se and can be adjusted into various positions, rests with its lower part 3 on pins 4 and 5 carried by struts 6.

The struts are linked in pairs at the front and rear to the displaceable runners 7 and B so that, depending on the position of these runners, the angle enclosed by the struts and therewith also the height of the pins 4 and 5 can be changed , so d:

ass itself, the cones z. $. can be brought from position I to position II, whereby the seat is raised accordingly.

To move the runners 7 and 8, one end of the tie rods 9 and 10 is used, the other ends of which are attached to the arms 11 and 12 of a pivot lever 13 attached to a holder 14 attached to the vehicle floor. The selected position of the lever 13 is set on a segment 15 by a handle 17 on the lever,

13 controlled rod 16 secured by the end of the rod 16 falling into the teeth or openings in the segment 15 and thereby holding the lever 13 in the selected position until the handle 17 pushes the end of the rod 16 out of the segment again .is pulled, which releases the lever and can be brought into a new position,

to change the seat height. It should be noted that the height of the seat is changed in this way, but by no means its place, because. by the Cie: precise movement of the runners: the seat is neither forward nor backward. postponed.

The necessity of such: seating for motor vehicles arises from the fact that one and the same vehicle is not only the owner, but. also other people, e.g. $. his trust, steer or as. Use passengers, in which case it is for one person. suitable seat height for the other uncomfortable.

This also applies to the seating next to the handlebars, where adults or children often sit and where you also have to consider changing the seat height.
