Lehnstuhl.
Fig. 4 ist die Unteransicht zu Fig. 3.

Fig. 5).

Armchair.
Armchairs or armchairs, in which below the seat a multi-part adjustable support bracket for placing the legs or feet is slidably mounted, which can be pulled out of the chair in the folded state, are already known.
The arrangement and design of this foot or leg support, however, has the disadvantage that both pulling out and pushing in and adjusting the support must be carried out by hand or even by a second person.
According to the invention, the footrest consists of a slidably guided frame on the chair and a flow plate articulated to it by struts, which is lifted into the position of use by spring action and held in the folded-down position by a locking device, which locks automatically when the folded footrest is pushed out becomes.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated, u. FIG. 1 shows the frame of an armchair with the leg support pushed in, seen from the side and in a longitudinal section, while FIG. 2 shows the same seen from above, partly in section along the line A-B of FIG. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section through the leg support pushed almost completely out of the chair, while Fig. 5 illustrates this in the completely pushed out state with the support plate flipped up in a longitudinal section. FIG. 4 is the bottom view of FIG. 3.
The foot or leg rest, which is slidably mounted below the chair seat in a manner known per se, consists of the rectangular frame b and the support plate c movably connected to it by two pairs of struts d and I.
While the rear end of the leg support is supported by an eye i attached to the long side of its frame b, which is guided loosely sliding over a longitudinal rod g arranged in the fixed frame a, the front end of the frame b has a roller support r on each side. For the purpose of back and forth movement of the folded leg support from the seat, a rod u is mounted vertically rotatable on one side of the chair frame a, which carries a short lever h formed as a handle below the armrest and is firmly connected below with a long lever k, the free one The end of an eye o carries, which can slide loosely over a transverse rod m fastened in the rear end of the frame b.
The support plate c of the foot or legrest, which is flicked up by means of a lever q, which is rotatably attached in the frame b and is influenced by a strong helical spring t, is held in the laid down state (FIG. 3) by an angle v attached to its underside, which with a lockout engages a bracket z that is slidably attached in the frame b. The rear ones rest on the latter. Bent ends of two levers M, which are each rotatably mounted on the inside of the frame b and each have a common axis of rotation e with one of the struts d, their front end being hook-like upwards and here under the influence of a spring t.
In the front ends of the two struts d, which are movably connected in the middle with a second strut I each, a thin rod dl connecting the former is fixed, which is slidably guided in two loops p arranged on the underside of the plate c. The rear ends of the struts I are rotatably attached to the underside of the plate c and their front ends each have a lateral pin ll which is slidably guided in a longitudinal groove s of the frame b.

The mode of action when the footrest is pushed out is as follows:
If the person sitting in the chair wants to use the legrest, all they have to do is raise their legs a little and move the hand lever h, which protrudes slightly from one armrest, backwards (FIG. 2). Here the leg support is pushed out of the chair with the help of the lever k until it is connected to the two ends bent outwards at right angles of the under the frame b
EMI2.1
also the pins 11 of the two struts I so far back until they snap into place behind the hook-shaped ends of the two levers, whereby the plate e is held in its high position (see. Fig. 5).
Should the plate be put down again and the leg support pulled back into the chair, all that is necessary is the downwardly bent ends of the levers? l to lift by tightening the frame b by means of the handle A under the mediation of the bracket z, whereby the sperm nose located at the other end of the lever / 'releases the pin, so that now a slight pressure on the plate e brings it into its lower position, and the Angle v with its recess again engages over the bracket z (Fig. 3). The leg support can easily be withdrawn by means of the handle li and the rod k.
