Heat-sensitive switching device: The invention relates to switching devices which are actuated under the action of heat.
In the known switching devices of this type, a bimetallic strip is used which is heated by a heating winding and which, through its deformation, performs the desired switching operation. Such thermal Relaiseinrichtun conditions have the major disadvantage that they can not cause a sudden interruption of their con tact devices, where are easily overstrained by the contacts.
Some improvement. was achieved in that, for example, the heating resistor is installed between the two legs of a U-shaped bent bimetallic strip, one leg of which is forked and by means of one part of the fork touches a contact shortly before the end of the switch-off time, so that. the value of the heating resistor is changed in such a way that here after the second part of the fork it is heated more strongly and the contact separation takes place more quickly.
Other known Schaltein directions force a faster shutdown device by installing mechanical tilting 0 1 'iedern. However, the contact stresses are still quite considerable even with these designs.
According to the invention, the heat-sensitive switching device is now arranged in such a way that sudden switching movements can be carried out with the purpose of largely protecting the contacts of the switching device.
This can be done by looking at the magnetic old age. a heat alloy piece is located, which short-circuits the magnetic flux over itself when cold and switches the contact switch to Ein.- respectively. Leaves the switch position, while it diverts the magnetic flux by heating and brings the Söhalterkontakt into the other switch position.
The drawing illustrates various exemplary embodiments of the invention. Fig. 1 shows an embodiment .dar, in which the heat alloy style is arranged between tween the poles, while it is set up in Fig. 3 on one of the two poles.
Fig. 2 shows an embodiment. In which the armature itself consists of heat alloy tion, and Fig.4a, 4b the use of the same design in a rotary armature relay. Between the two poles 2 and 3 (FIG. 1) of a permanent magnet 1, a piece of heat alloy 4 is arranged, which is surrounded by a heating coil 5.
Opposite the two poles is a magnet armature 6 which is held by a spring 7 at a certain distance from the two poles and carries a contact device 8 at the lower end.
The mode of operation of this arrangement is as follows: When the thermal alloy piece 4 is unheated, the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 1 is short-circuited and the magnet armature 6 remains unaffected. If the heating coil 5 is now energized and the heat alloy piece is slowly heated, it loses its magnetic conductivity and the magnetic flux begins to flow through the magnet armature via the magnet poles.
If this magnetism has reached such a value that it can counteract the action of the return spring of the armature, the magnet armature is attracted somewhat, thereby reducing the air gap between the magnet armature and the magnet pole, whereby the attractive influence of the magnetism is rapidly increased and the Magnetic armature, accelerated by the magnetic poles, is attracted. As a result, a clear and fast Actuate supply of the switching device takes place with accordingly small hontaktabbrand the contact pieces.
The situation is similar when the heating winding is switched off and the heat alloy slowly cools down. The magnetic conductivity of the heat alloy piece slowly increases again and the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet is increasingly short-circuited. At the moment when the force of the armature spring outweighs the magnetic force of attraction, the magnet armature detaches from the poles and quickly falls, because the magnetic influence decreases very quickly with the distance from the poles. In this case too, the switching device is operated clearly and quickly.
The heating of the heat alloy piece can be carried out by means of a heating winding which is arranged around the heat alloy piece or is set up in its immediate vicinity. But it is of course also. possible to form the heat alloy piece itself for heating winding.
In this case, this can also be designed as a rotating armature located between the poles of the permanent magnet, as shown in FIGS , or it can be placed on one pole in the air gap of the permanent magnet, as shown in FIG. 3, where the wire-shaped heat alloy piece 13 is placed on the pole 3 of the permanent magnet 1.
The permanent magnet can expediently have a horseshoe shape. However, any other magnet shape can also be used.
Furthermore, the magnet armature itself can consist of a Wä.rmelalierungsstiiek and be heated. Such a Ausführungsbei game is shown in Fig. 2, where the armature 6 is made of heat alloy and dureh the connections 4/5 in the current path of the heating circuit lieo-t.
