Pince. L'invention se rapporte à une pince du genre comportant .deux leviers articulés l'un à l'autre, en un point intermédiaire et assem blés par un élément élastique tendant en même temps à maintenir la pince fermée. Des pinces de ce genre conviennent comme pinces à papier, comme attaches pour cerceaux de croquet, comme pinces à :linge et pour d'au tres emplois.
Conformément à la présente invention, l'articulation & la pince est constituée par au moins -une saillie et au moins un loge ment, coopérant avec cette saillie, que pré sentent les deux leviers de la pince, cette saillie et ce 'logement présentant des sur faces coopérant entre elles pour empêcher tout déplacement latéral relatif des deux le viers.
Dans une forme d'exécution préférée, qui présente l'avantage que les deux leviers sont identiques et, par conséquent, qu'ils ne nécessitent .qu'un seul moule au qu'une seule matrice pour leur fabrication en ma- tière plastique au en métal, chacun des deux leviers est pourvu d'une saillie à peu près demi-cylindrique qui s'étend sur la moitié de sa largeur, et qui constitue une cheville de charnière, et d'une rainure s'étendant sur l'autre moitié de la largeur.
L'élément ëlas- tique peut être réalisé de manière convena ble au moyen d'une bague .élasstique ou d'un ressort maintenu en place par une rainure pratiquée autour de la mâchoire de la pince.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemples, .quelques formes d'exécution de la pince selon l'invention.
La fig. 1 est une élévation latérale de la pince; la fig. 2 en est une vue en plan, et la fig. 3- en e st une ,élévation en bout; la fig. 4 est une vue en plan d'une moitié de la pince; la fig. 5 en est une coupe longitudinale, et la fig. 6 est une coupe selon la ligne 6-6 de la fig. 4;
Les fi* 7 et 8 sont des vues en plan des deux moitiés d'une deuxième forme d'exécu tion et les fig. 9 et 10 sont respectivement un plan et une coupe longitudinale d'une autre forme; Les fig. 11 et 12 sont respectivement des coupes longitudinale et transversale d'une autre forme.
En référence plus particulièrement aux fi-. 1 à 6, 1 et 2 sont deux leviers qui cons tituent ensemble une pince; les deux leviers sont identiques, chaque levier présentant une saillie à peu près demi-cylindrique 3@ qui s'étend sur la moitié de la largeur de la pince, et un logement 4 à paroi cylindrique s'étendant sur l'autre moitié. La saillie 3 est munie d'uns nervure transversale 5 qui s'engage dans une rainure 6 correspondante du logement 4 lorsque les deux leviers de la pince sont assemblés, et ayant pour but d'em pêcher tout déplacement latéral relatif des deux leviers.
Les deux :leviers 1 et 2 com portent en outre une rainure 7 pour recevoir une bague 8 en caoutchouc qui tend à main tenir fermées les mâchoires 9.
En variante, la nervure 5 peut être ména gée dans la rainure 4 et la rainure 6 dans la saillie 3. De plus, au -lieu de la bague 8, on pourrait prévoir un ressort.
Chaque levier de la. pince présente de manière habituelle un prolongement 10 qui forme manette d'actionnement.
En référence aux fig. 7 et 8, les deux le viers de la pince sont dissemblables et com prennent un levier 11 possédant une saillie à peu près demi-cylindrique 12, s'étendant sur toute la largeur du levier 11 et qui coo père avec une rainure 1'3 à paroi cylindri que qui s'étend également sur la ,largeur to tale de l'autre levier 14 de la pince. Les le viers 11 et 14 présentent respectivement des nervures 15 et des rainures 16.
Dans les modifications représentées aux fi-. 9 et 10, la bande 8, en caoutchouc est remplacée par un rivet 17 en matière élas tique à têtes 18, traversant les deux mâ choires de la pince et tendant à maintenir cette dernière fermée. Dans la modification représentée aux fig. 11 et 12, la saillie 19 est en forme de <B>V</B> et coopère avec un enfoncement 20 et qui s'étend sur la plus grande partie du levier 1;
l'enfoncement 20 s'étend semblablement sur la plus grande partie du levier 2, tout en laissant. deux parois 21 latérales qui em pêchent un mouvement latéral relatif des deux leviers 1 et ? de la pince.
Pliers. The invention relates to a clamp of the kind comprising .two levers articulated to one another, at an intermediate point and assembled by an elastic element tending at the same time to keep the clamp closed. Tongs of this kind are suitable as paper clips, as clips for croquet hoops, as clothespins and for other purposes.
According to the present invention, the articulation & the clamp is constituted by at least one projection and at least one housing, cooperating with this projection, which the two levers of the clamp present, this projection and this housing having on faces cooperating with each other to prevent any relative lateral displacement of the two levers.
In a preferred embodiment, which has the advantage that the two levers are identical and, therefore, that they require only one mold or only one die for their manufacture in plastic material. made of metal, each of the two levers is provided with an approximately semi-cylindrical projection which extends over half its width, and which constitutes a hinge pin, and with a groove extending over the other half the width.
The elastic element can be suitably produced by means of an elastic ring or a spring held in place by a groove made around the jaw of the clamp.
The appended drawing shows, by way of examples, some embodiments of the clamp according to the invention.

With particular reference to fi-. 1 to 6, 1 and 2 are two levers which together constitute a clamp; the two levers are identical, each lever having an approximately semi-cylindrical projection 3 @ which extends over half the width of the clamp, and a housing 4 with a cylindrical wall extending over the other half. The projection 3 is provided with a transverse rib 5 which engages in a corresponding groove 6 of the housing 4 when the two levers of the clamp are assembled, and having the purpose of preventing any relative lateral displacement of the two levers.
The two: levers 1 and 2 com also carry a groove 7 to receive a rubber ring 8 which tends to hand hold the jaws 9 closed.
As a variant, the rib 5 can be formed in the groove 4 and the groove 6 in the projection 3. In addition, instead of the ring 8, a spring could be provided.
Each lever of the. clamp usually has an extension 10 which forms an actuating lever.
With reference to fig. 7 and 8, the two grippers are dissimilar and include a lever 11 having an approximately semi-cylindrical projection 12, extending over the entire width of the lever 11 and which coo father with a groove 1'3 with a cylindrical wall which also extends over the total width of the other lever 14 of the clamp. Le viers 11 and 14 have ribs 15 and grooves 16 respectively.
In the modifications shown in fi-. 9 and 10, the strip 8, made of rubber, is replaced by a rivet 17 of elastic material with heads 18, passing through the two jaws of the clamp and tending to keep the latter closed. In the modification shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, the projection 19 is in the shape of a <B> V </B> and cooperates with a depression 20 and which extends over the greater part of the lever 1;
the depression 20 similarly extends over most of the lever 2, while leaving. two side walls 21 which prevent a relative lateral movement of the two levers 1 and? of the clamp.
