Abstract

The hair clip consists of a single moulded piece in the form a of a grip in two sections hinged together at one end, with a fastening (F) at the other end. The fastening (F) is formed by bending one of the sections to form a clasp for a catch on the other piece. The two sections are formed of a synthetic, semi-resilient material. The catch has a width roughly one quarter to one third of its length. The angle at which the two parts are moulded is between fifteen and thirty degrees, preferably twenty degrees.
