Central heating boiler with lighting device. The subject matter of the present invention is a central heating boiler with an ignition device that can be used, for example, in place of the largest ash trap door or in front of the opening closed by an air flap. The device is intended, in particular, to enable the central heating boiler to be lit without having to remove any fuel that is already in the boiler.
According to the invention, the device is designed as a container which is provided with a grate, a flame opening and a filling opening and is arranged entirely or partially deeper than the grate of the central heating boiler.
When the central heating boiler is fired, the housing of the device is appropriately filled with kindling fuel, such as wood, wood wool, paper, etc. This fuel is ignited and the resulting flame penetrates through the flame opening to the material on the grate of the central heating boiler and sets it on fire. An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the drawing.
1 shows a side view of a central heating boiler with a fire device arranged thereon in a schematic representation; Fig. 2 is a section through the lighting device and adjacent parts of the central. heating boiler on a larger scale; Fig. 3 shows a front view with partially removed front wall; 4 and 5 show a variant.
The lighting device shown has a housing 1 which is provided at the bottom with a grate 2 and at the top with a filling opening closed by cover 3. A flame opening 4 is provided on the side of the housing 1 which is directed towards the central heating boiler during use.
The attachment of the housing 1 to the central heating boiler takes place in the illustrated exemplary embodiment, in which the ash trap door 5 can be pivoted about a horizontal axis 6, by means of a tab 7 engaging behind the axis 6 and a support 8 that extends into the through the ash trap door 5 from the closed opening of the central heating boiler. The housing 1 is further provided with an ash catcher 9 and 10 Traggrif.
The grate of the central heating boiler is designated by 11 in FIG. 2 of the drawing.
If the central heating boiler is to be fired while leaving the fuel in it, the ash trap door 5 is opened, that is, it is pivoted into the position shown in FIG. The housing 1 is gripped by the carrying handles 10, the tabs 7 are placed behind the axis 6 and the housing 1 is pivoted against the boiler in such a way that the support 8 is supported on the central heating boiler.
In the housing 1 is brought firing fuel, for example wood, is ignited, and the flames emerge penetrate in the direction of arrow I in Fig. 2 against the on the grate 11 be sensitive fuel. In this exemplary embodiment, the flame opening 4 is arranged in the housing 1 in such a way that it lies above the grate 11. As soon as the fuel in the central heating boiler has caught fire, the housing -1 is grasped by the handles 10, removed and the ash trap door 5 is closed.
In this way, the central heating boiler is put into operation in a simple manner, without the cumbersome and dirty clearing out of the boiler being necessary.
In the example shown, the flame opening 4 is only above the grate 11; however, it could also extend further downwards, so that it is partly above and partly below the grate 11. If the front grille 12 of the central heating boiler is then attached, the flames penetrate the underside of the grate 11 and from there through the grate upwards. Means can also be provided to optionally cover the part of the flame opening of the housing 1 lying above or below the grate 11.
The housing 1 is expediently made of metal. It can be used with or without a refractory lining. A tension regulator can also be attached to the housing 1. Instead of tabs 7 and supports 8, the housing 1 can have feet.
The whole lighting device can thus be used in different ways. When the front grate is closed, the flame enters the central heating boiler through the grate slots in the latter; when the front grate is open above the grate, as described with reference to the drawing. With a correspondingly formed flame opening and open in front of stell grate, the flames can simultaneously penetrate the top and bottom through the grate slots 11 in the central heating boiler.
Finally, it is still possible to attach the device to the air flap attached to conventional central heating boilers and not to the ash trap door.
In the embodiment described above, the ash catcher 9 can also be designed as a foot supporting the device.
Another such embodiment is shown schematically in FIGS. The device here has an ash catcher 9 serving as a foot, above which the grate 2 is attached; the whole device is pushed for use under the grate 11 of the boiler and removed after firing as the.
