Rotatable blade built into the rotor of turbomachinery. In the case of rotating blades of rotating turbo machines, the adjustment mechanisms must also absorb the moments of the centrifugal forces in addition to the hydraulic torque and the mechanical frictional torque. In the following, a simple example will be used to explain how such a centrifugal torque comes about.
In Fig. 1 of the drawing, a three-axis coordinate system is recorded, which rotates with the angular velocity co about its y-axis. A rotatable dumbbell is attached to the z-axis, which must therefore take part in the general rotational movement around the y-axis. If you plot the centrifugal forces F of the dumbbell masses, you can see that they have to go through the y-axis somewhere.
In general, these forces are skewed to the z-axis of rotation of the dumbbell, so that they exert a torque on this, in such a way that the dumbbell with its longitudinal axis in the direction of the circumferential speed, i.e. H. parallel to the x-axis. A rotatable rotor blade also wants to be rotated about its axis of rotation in the circumferential direction by its centrifugal forces. The resulting torque acts inevitably on the device that has to turn the shovel (at least during the turning itself, namely if the shovel is latched in certain positions).
In general, these centrifugal moments are small, but with large blades or at high speeds, they become impermissibly large.
According to the invention, a compensating body, which is arranged with its longitudinal axis approximately perpendicular to the airfoil, is attached to the blade pivot ax and has the task of counteracting the above-mentioned rotary action of the centrifugal forces in such a way that it is at least approximately compensated in all positions of the blade .
It is advantageous if this compensation body is accommodated within the inner blade diameter, if possible in the interior of the rotor, so that, firstly, it does not form any unwanted additional resistance in the flow and, secondly, there are no excessive additional loads on the rotating blade bearings.
Compensating body and blade body together are called "rotating bodies".
With reference to Fig. 2 of the drawing, which shows an example embodiment of the invention in a perspective view, this is explained in more detail.
The compensating body can be in a mounted on the shovel pivot axis 1, for example dumbbell-like body 2, whose longitudinal axis is approximately perpendicular to the blade blade 3. But it could, for example, only consist of one half of such a dumbbell; this is sufficient in all cases where the blade axis of rotation is radial to the axis of rotation.
The compensating body is a solid body on the blade axis of rotation, which has two reference planes (A) and (B) perpendicular to one another and passing through the axis of rotation, for which the planar moments of inertia are expediently very different. The planar moments of inertia of a body, based on a plane, are known to be the summation of all parts of the mass multiplied by the square of their distances from this plane.
This means that a large part of the masses have large distances from one level (A), but small distances from the other (B) . In this other level (B) lies the above-mentioned "Läne # saxe" of the body.
The compensating body is conveniently located inside the rotor drum, as close as possible to the axis of rotation, since this creates the desired torque effect, but the centrifugal forces themselves become smaller and do not unnecessarily load the thrust bearing of the blade body. The compensating body can also be designed in such a way that the device for rotating the blade engages on it.
The entire rotating body can now be guided in several bearings, but under certain circumstances a single bearing is sufficient because the centrifugal force of the blade has a centering effect. Whenever possible, the blade ax will always be set approximately radially. In this case, the mass balancing always succeeds easily, even if, for example, the center of gravity of the blade body is not in its axis of rotation. However, if the axis of rotation is at an angle or even skewed to the rotor axis, then certain conditions must also be imposed on the shape of the blade body itself.
The best way to do this is to shape the shovel body as a compensating body in such a way that everyone has his or her center of gravity, for example, on the turntable and this corresponds approximately to one main axis of inertia.
For such rotating bodies - whose axis of rotation is either approximately radial or in the general case a main axis of inertia through the center of gravity for both the blade and the balancing body - the mass balance can be checked and corrected on a balancing device, as shown in Principle can be seen in Fig. 3. A bogie 4 rotates around the two axles 5.
In this bogie the rotating body to be balanced 3 is superimposed so that its axis 1 is perpendicular to the half axes 5 and cuts its extension. The center of gravity of the rotating body should not be too far from this point of intersection, otherwise only unnecessarily large centrifugal forces arise. Has on balancing itself. However, the distance of the center of gravity from the axis of rotation has no influence, which is why: balancing in the specified way is possible at all.
The balancing can now be done in such a way that the rotating body is placed at a standstill in such a way that the blade is at an angle - for example 45 - to the Rota tionsa.xe. Then the bogie is set in rotation. If the balancing masses are still too small, the blade is positioned perpendicular to the axis of rotation; if they are too large, parallel to it. The device can also be constructed in such a way that the rotating body is held resiliently in the starting position. If the bogie is now set in rotation, the resulting moment of the centrifugal forces can be measured directly by measuring the angle of rotation and the correction mass can be calculated from this.
If the mass balancing has been successful for a blade position of approx. 45, you now balance for a blade position of approx. 0 or 90. This is used to control and correct the angle between the longitudinal ax of the compensating body and the blade blade. If this angle is not correct, the rotating body will now position itself during balancing in such a way that the blade would come to about 45 to the rotation nose again.
If we call this position the balancing end position, the angle between the compensating body and the blade body must be changed in such a way that - viewed in precisely this end position - the acute angle between the compensating body longitudinal nose and the rotating nose is reduced.
A plurality of compensating bodies can also be provided, which can be fastened independently of each other on the shovel pivot.
