Description
Wasserdichte Steckdose.
Waterproof socket. The invention relates to watertight sockets in which a cover is provided with outer sockets and inner pins, of which the former are used to receive a connector and the latter are inserted into sockets of a socket outlet.
In the case of such watertight sockets, there is also a requirement that the contact parts leading to the outside must be properly watertight. It is already known to make the bushings by screwing the. Pins with the sockets contacts using nuts or the like.
For this, however, special sealing washers and a relatively large number of individual parts are required, the production he heavy and also over a longer period of use do not ensure a completely perfect seal and fastening ge.
The invention consists in that the contact sockets for the pins of the connector, which are arranged in the chambers of the end cover, are fastened by riveting to the contact pins that engage in the sockets of the socket insert. The contact pins that engage in sockets of the socket insert can be pressed into the end faces of the chambers with flanges arranged on them.
Instead of directly pressing in pins provided with flanges, disks can also be pressed into the cover, through which rivet attachments on the pins lead through which the pins are riveted to the contact sockets.
In the drawing, the subject invention is shown for example.
Fig. 1 shows a cross-section of a waterproof socket with the uncut sockets and pins of an embodiment. Fig. 2 shows the union of the sockets and pins on a larger scale, and Fig. 3 shows a further embodiment of the connection of the sockets and pins on a larger scale.
In Fig. 1, 1 represents the housing of the waterproof socket, 2 the cover and 3 a sealing ring. The attachment of the cover 2 to the housing is carried out by means of screws 4. In the housing 1, a socket insert 5, for example by screwing, is attached. This socket insert is equipped with terminals 6 that are connected to contact sockets 7. The pins 8 of the cover 2 engage in the contact sockets 7.
The pins are with wreaths 9 respectively. Flan's provided with which the pins are pressed into the end walls 10 of the chambers 11. The chambers 11 contain the contact sockets 12 into which the contact pins of the connector are inserted. Springs 13 serve to increase the spring action of the contact sockets 12.
To attach the sockets 12 with the pins 8 the latter - as shown in dashed lines in Fig. 2 - provided with a protruding into the chamber 11 approach 8 ', over which the socket contact 12 is pushed, whereupon the approach is riveted.
According to the modified embodiment according to FIG. 3, disks 14 which are provided with a bore 15 can also be pressed into the end walls 10 of the chambers 11. The pins 16 engaging in the contact sockets 7 of the socket insert 5 are provided with a neck 17 of reduced diameter, which protrudes through the opening 15 and serves as riveting between the pins 16 and the contact sockets 12.
