Description

Seifenersatz.

Soap substitute. The present invention relates to a soap substitute, that is to say a certain fatty acid-free product to be used in most types of application of the soap. According to the invention, the same consists of a mixture which contains a colloidal light metal compound, a saponin-containing material and a water-soluble salt of a naphthalene monosulfonic acid.

As a colloidal light metal compound z. B. colloidal alumina hydrate into consideration, ge mixed with 6 to 7 parts of water, after some time assumes the consistency of a dense fat. Either powder or extract from the soapwort root is suitable as a material containing saponin. The soap substitute preferably contains an alkali salt of α- or β-naphthalene monosulfonic acid as the water-soluble salt of a naphthalene monosulfonic acid, e.g. B. the sodium salt. Appropriately, the soap replacement also contains a drying ver preventing substance, such.

   B. sodium lactate, oxy propionic acid or a polyvalent alcohol, z. B. ethylene glycol, propylene glycol or glycerine.

The soap substitute can e.g. B. be made as follows: The colloidal alumina hydrate is mixed in powder form with powdered soapwort root and sodium monosulfonaphthalene and, if desired, a dye is added and then the powdery mixture is sieved. An amount of water sufficient to convert the alumina hydrate into gel form, to which sodium lactate and, if necessary, perfume has been added beforehand, is then introduced into a stirrer, and the stirrer is started.

The aforementioned powdery mixture is now gradually introduced into the agitator in small amounts. In this way a solid, paste-like, homogeneous mass is obtained, which is then shaped. The pieces obtained in this way can be packaged and sold immediately. The soap substitute obtained in this way has a smoothing effect on the skin and causes neither irritation nor dehydration.
