Description

Gas generator for the gasification of inferior fuels. The invention relates to a gas generator for the gasification of inferior fuels such as peat, lignite and wood otherwise unsuitable for the generator operation.

In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is shown in vertical section.

According to the drawing, the generator consists essentially of the generator casing a, the nozzle ring b, the brick-lined spherical hearth c and the basket grate d.

The semi-spherical stove shape and the spherical grate d because of the generator is very well suited for low-quality fuels, such as. B. peat, otherwise unsuitable wood waste for the gasification, lignite ETC. whereby the gases are guaranteed to be free on all sides due to the spherical shape of the grate.

The combustion air enters the glow zone through the nozzle ring b. Due to its spherical shape, the brick wall of the hearth deviates far from the glow zone to converge again at the bottom, so that the fuel is retained until it almost completely disintegrates and only as ash through the short hearth nozzle into the rust d </ I basket > reached. The basket grate d is arranged in such a way that it is moved by any slight vibration, such as engine vibrations, whereby the ash and dust particles deposited here easily fall out or on the relatively large grate surface from the gas flow to be carried out with.

The chosen shape of the hearth and the basket grate create a short and wide gasification zone, which is why a relatively large feed chute diameter can be selected without creating bridges over the annealing zone. The generator therefore differs from the known designs in that it is short.

Claims (1)

PATENT CLAIM: Gas generator for the gasification of inferior fuels such as peat, lignite and waste wood otherwise unsuitable for aenerator operation, characterized by a masonry hemispherical stove, at the upper edge of which the air enters and which ends with a nozzle into a basket grate. SUBCLAIM: Gas generator according to patent claim, characterized in that its basket grate is spherical in order to have a relatively large vent area.
