A l'extrémité supérieure de l'arbre mo teur est disposée une vis sans fin 13 coopé rant avec une roue hélicoïdale 14 comman dant un commutateur 15. La roue 14, qui peut coulisser sur un axe horizontal 14a, est reliée rigidement à, un disque 16 qui porte une goupille 17. Le commutateur comprend un dispositif mobile formé de deux organes 15 et 19 montés rotativement en 18 et reliés entre eux par un ressort;
Lors de la rota tion du moteur, quand l'organe interrupteur est appliqué contre -l'une de ces paires de contacts, le disque 16 est entraîné par la vis sans fin 13-14 et tourne dans une direction déterminée;
Machine for cleaning watch movements. The present invention relates to a machine for cleaning the movements of my tres. This machine is characterized by a turntable around a vertical column and carrying the cleaning jars and by an electric motor movable along this column and whose rotating shaft carries, at one of its ends., a basket and, at the other of its ends, an endless screw cooperating tangentially with a wheel controlling a switch for the automatic change of the running direction of the motor,
this shaft passing through a cover intended to successively close the jars.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a reduced scale elevation of the cleaning machine, and FIG. 2 is a section through II-II of FIG. 1. Figs. 3 and 4 show a detail, to scale, in elevation and in plan, respectively.
The cleaning machine shown com takes a base 1, a vertical column 2 fixed to this base, and a plate 3 which turns on this base around said column and which carries the jars A, B, < I> C, D. The first three jars are half-filled with a liquid, while the fourth serves as an oven and contains a heating element. 4 is the motor having an arm 5 by means of which it can slide on the column 2. The conduits for supplying the current pass through. inside the column and are led to a switch 6 mounted at the upper end of this column.
A cable 7 connects this switch to the motor.
The rotating shaft of the motor 4 is parallel to column 2 and extended upwards and downwards. The lower end of this shaft carries the basket 8 in which the movements to will be placed and which can be introduced into one of the jars A-D. Between these jars and the motor frame is disposed a cover 9 which can slide along the motor shaft; this cover is provided, on its upper face, with two hooks 10 which can engage on two pins 11 carried by the motor frame.
When the machine is started up, the motor is lowered along the column to place the basket in the liquid contained in the lower part of the first jar 4 and the cover 9 closes the latter. On turning, the motor drives the basket and the watch movements are cleaned in the liquid.
After a certain time, the motor is lifted with the basket which will be placed in the upper part of the jar, the cover 9 remaining in its place, which makes it possible to wring out the movements; after which, the basket is removed from jar 4 and placed in jar B. During this change, the lid is raised with the motor and basket. When the machine is at rest, each jar is closed by a cover 12 which can be removed at will.
At the upper end of the motor shaft is disposed a worm 13 cooperating with a helical wheel 14 controlling a switch 15. The wheel 14, which can slide on a horizontal axis 14a, is rigidly connected to a disc 16 which carries a pin 17. The switch comprises a movable device formed of two members 15 and 19 rotatably mounted at 18 and interconnected by a spring;
one end of the member 15 is placed in the path of the pin 17, while one end of the member 19 carries a pair of contact rollers 20 which, in the extreme positions of the member, are applied against one or the other of the pairs 21, 22 of contacts fixed in the form of strips.
During the rotation of the motor, when the switch member is applied against one of these pairs of contacts, the disc 16 is driven by the worm 13-14 and rotates in a determined direction;
after a complete turn of the disc 16, the pin 17 abuts against the member 15 which pivots around the point 18 until the contact rollers touch the other pair of frozen contacts, which changes the direction of travel motor, with the motor running in the other direction, pin 17 a. changed direction and, after a complete revolution of the disc 16, abuts against the other side of the member 15, which causes a new change of direction of travel.
In this way, the motor continues to rotate back and forth, following the switching caused by the pin 17 and the member 15. The wheel 14 and the disc 16 can be moved on the axis 14a at the same time. means of the lever 14b, in order to separate the helical wheel from the worm and to stop the switching.
The first jar 4 can also contain a heating resistor which will be associated with a time switch and which is used for. to temper or to. heat the liquid in this jar.
