Drive device, in particular for motor vehicles, with hydrodynamic coupling. The invention relates to a drive device, in particular for motor vehicles, in which a hydrodynamic coupling is switched on in the drive. Such clutches exert a vibration-damping effect on the drive and allow a soft, smooth start-up.
However, they generally have the disadvantage of a relatively low level of efficiency and, accordingly, a relatively high power loss, which results in high temperatures of the clutch fluid and the clutch. As a result of these disadvantages, the hydrodynamic clutches, despite their other advantages, have so far only been used to a limited extent in motor vehicle construction, since particular importance is attached to high degrees of efficiency. Above all, the disadvantages make themselves on long, high-speed traversed routes, z. B. on motorways, be particularly unfavorable noticeable in that the clutches are impermissibly hot.
In addition, it is necessary to switch off the transmission from the engine with the previously common change of gear. As a result, either the hydrodynamic couplings must be disengageable, e.g. B. drainable, liquid keitskupplungen be formed, which ever complicated the drive and with regard to fast switching is generally not a useful solution, or additional disengageable, so usually mechanical friction clutches are easily seen, which interrupt the drive allow.
The invention avoids the disadvantages and also enables a particularly easy and convenient way of switching the motor vehicle. It essentially consists in the fact that the driving and the driven part of the hydrodynamic coupling can be coupled by an electromagnetic coupling. The latter can be built into the clutch assembly in such a way that an additional overall length or an increased structural weight can be completely or almost completely avoided.
Special shift levers that adjust the clutch do not need to be available.
Particular advantages are obtained when the gearbox is switched on and off in such a way that when switching from one gear to the other, the drive between the engine and gearbox does not need to be interrupted, so the gear gears are also switched on and off in an electromagnetic manner will. This avoids any mechanical shifting of the gearbox and clutch and at the same time achieves extremely easy shifting.
The activation of the electromagnetic clutch can take place arbitrarily or automatically, for example as a function of the temperature of the clutch fluid of the hydrodynamic clutch by means of a temperature sensor or the like which causes the current connection.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the invention is schematically Darge provides.
It is A the motor arranged, for example, in the front part of the vehicle, B the clutch unit consisting of the hydrodynamic clutch B1 and the electromagnetic clutch B2, C the gearbox and D the one with it, for example Housing block united rear axles.
On the motor shaft a, the flywheel part b is attached, which on the one hand carries the driving clutch half c of the hydrodynamic clutch B1 and on the other hand the one disk of the disk set d of the electro-magnetic friction clutch B2. The field winding e of the electromagnetic clutch is also built into part b. Two slip rings f and g connected in parallel, for example, are attached to part b.
From them the slip ring f is directly connected to the excitation winding and receives the current from the guarantor f., While the circuit of the slip ring g, which is in sliding contact with the brush j g1, is usually interrupted between it and the excitation winding.
A temperature sensor h protruding into the clutch fluid can, however, close the circuit at point i as soon as the fluid has reached a certain temperature: the driven part k of the hydrodynamic clutch is keyed onto the clutch shaft 1.
Not rotatable, but movable are respectively on her. on the hub of the driven coupling part k or a sleeve mounted on them by means of wedges m, the other disks of the disk pack d ge superimposed, such; that when the exciter winding e is excited, the shafts a and l are directly coupled by the lamella len d.
The order can be made in such a way, as shown for example in the figure; that the space containing the disks is in open connection with the working space of the hydrodynamic clutch, so the disks are separated from the clutch fluid, e.g. B. oil, are rinsed.
Furthermore, the drive shaft o of the gearbox is driven from the shaft t by the cardan shaft n. The change gear is, for example - apart from the reverse gear - formed as a four-speed transmission.
Of the permanently engaged gear pairs, for example, the gear pair p for the constant ratio between drive shaft o and front shaft q, the gear pair r for the third and the gear pair s for the second gear.
The upper wheels of pairs r, s sit loosely on the shaft w. The circuit is carried out by electromagnetically actuated multi-plate clutches, of which the multi-plate clutch t respectively. u. to assess the direct fourth whole,
so for the direct coupling of the shaft o with the transmission main shaft w respectively. the third. Ganges is shown. The sleeve part x, which carries the excitation windings and is non-rotatable on the main shaft w, is provided with the two slip rings y and z, which are used to take the current from the grinding brushes y and z.
A lever E, which is arranged in the specified switching positions for the first to fourth gear (I to IV) or for the reverse gear (B), is used to switch the gearbox, for example on the steering column of the vehicle or on the dashboard the brushes and slip rings to the excitation windings of the clutches concerned closes and is caused by engaging the selected gear.
A lever F, for example, is mounted coaxially to the lever E, which - apart from an optionally provided neutral position - can be brought into the two positions F, and G, and thereby the circuit either via the brush f, </ I> and slip ring f or brush g, and slip ring g closes. In the former case (position F, of the lever F) the field winding e and thus the electromagnetic clutch B. is put into action immediately, while in the second case (position G, the lever F) the field winding e is only excited when the The temperature of the clutch fluid in clutch B exceeds a certain value and the temperature sensor h consequently closes the contact i.
Of course, the invention is not restricted to the example shown. Instead of an electro-magnetically operated multi-plate clutch, another suitable electro-magnetic clutch can be provided. The change gear can also be arranged immediately afterwards to the clutch unit or at another point of the drive. Furthermore, the engine can be located in the rear of the vehicle and the entire drive unit can be combined into one block. The invention is of particular importance for this type of application, since it saves mechanical linkage from the driver's seat to both the rear transmission and the rear clutch Ar.
Furthermore, the invention is not limited to the use of electromagnetically switched gears, but can also be used with any other gears. The invention can also be used for other purposes in addition to vehicles.
Instead of shift levers E, F, push buttons or the like can also be seen easily. The switching of the electromagnetic clutch B can also be combined with the switching of the gearbox, for example in such a way that the circuit to the excitation winding is switched on at the same time before a different gear is switched on, i.e. when switching the lever E or the like from one contact to the other e is interrupted and is interrupted by a delay device until the gear shift in the gearbox is completed or substantially completed.
