Description
Verfahren zum Einrahmen von Bildern, Karten usw. Mit Glas eingerahmte Bilder haben den Nachteil, dass das Glas Licht reflektiert, und zwar meist in so grossem Masse, dass es beim Betrachten des Bildes stark stört.
Zweck vorliegender Erfindung besteht darin, diesen Nachteil zu beheben, ohne dass der einzurahmende Gegenstand selbst in seiner Farbenwirkung us.w. nachteilig be einflusst würde.
Dieser Zweck wird durch Atzen der Sichtfläche, d. h. der dem Auge zunächst liegenden Fläche der zum Einrahmen des Bildes benutzten Tafelglasscheibe erreicht. Zweckmässigerweise wird das Atzen derart durchgeführt, .dass die Glasfläche, welche dem das Bild betrachtenden Auge zunächst liegt und welche Licht reflektiert, erst mit einer Natriumfluoridlösung und dann mit verdünn ter Flusssäure ätzt. Es kann z. B. das Glas etwa eine Stunde lang mit Fluornatrium- lösung geätzt werden.
Die geätzte Fläche wird :dann mit Wasser abgespült, und dann wird etwa 3-4 Stunden mit verdünnter Flusssäure geätzt. Die ,so behandelte Glasscheibe gewährt praktisch vollkommene reflexfreie Durch sicht; die Farben des Bildes erscheinen frisch und das Bild selbst kann unter jedem Ge sichtswinkel ohne Störung durch reflektiertes Licht betrachtet werden.
Das Verfahren kann auch z. B. bei den die Tastenaufschrift von Schreibmaschinen abdeckenden' Glasscheiben Anwendung finden.

The etching is expediently carried out in such a way that the glass surface, which lies initially to the eye viewing the image and which reflects light, is first etched with a sodium fluoride solution and then with diluted hydrofluoric acid. It can e.g. For example, the glass can be etched with fluorosodium solution for about an hour.
The etched area is: then rinsed with water, and then etched with diluted hydrofluoric acid for about 3-4 hours. The glass pane treated in this way provides a practically complete reflection-free view; the colors of the picture appear fresh and the picture itself can be viewed from any angle without interference from reflected light.
The method can also be carried out e.g. B. in the 'glass panels covering the key labels of typewriters are used.
