Device for determining the full-load bit shaft of burning machines. At low temperature, the lubricating oil of an internal combustion engine is known to have a fairly high viscosity. Therefore, immediately after the internal combustion engine has been started, only insufficient quantities of it can reach its lubrication points.
Therefore, after starting, internal combustion engines have to warm up at low speed until the lubricating oil has become thin enough to reach all bearings in sufficient quantities and to be able to lubricate them sufficiently. Only then can the internal combustion engine be baptized at full speed. It has already been proposed to reduce the viscosity of the lubricating oil by adding diluents, which are eliminated again during operation, in a shorter time than is possible by warming up.
In these cases, however, it is not possible to continuously and precisely monitor the viscosity of the lubricant. It can therefore more or less only be determined from experience from when the internal combustion engine may be operated at full load.
It is therefore the object of the invention to provide a device by means of which it is possible to constantly and accurately monitor the viscosity of the lubricating oil of an internal combustion engine, i.e. H. a device that shows exactly when the internal combustion engine is brought to full speed; may. It has already been tried to use flow meters for this purpose. However, these work only imprecisely and are also too cumbersome to use and could be used in practice. did not prove, because there would have continued to be the risk that the internal combustion engine would be fully loaded too early or too late.
However, one is harmful to the internal combustion engine, while the other entails unnecessary loss of time. According to the invention, these disadvantages can be avoided in that a transmission device is provided which has a driven rotating body and a freely rotatable rotating body arranged equiaxially at a distance from the latter,
and that the lubricating oil of the internal combustion engine causes the transmission of a torque from the driven to the other rotating body. this torque changes in accordance with the viscosity changing adhesion of the lubricating oil on the opposite end faces of the two rotating bodies. A display device can be connected to both or to one of the rotating bodies, which displays either the difference between the speeds of the two rotating bodies or the rotating speeds of the free-running rotating body.
From the speed of the, a rotating body or from the difference between the speeds of the two rotating bodies can be inferred from the viscosity of the lubricating oil.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown for example.
In a housing 1 are two rotating body forming discs? and 3 mounted independently of each other coaxially rotatable with their shafts 4 and 5 at narrow gem distances. The disk 2 receives its drive from an electric motor B. After a turn on the electric motor 8, lubricating oil of the internal combustion engine is passed through a feed line 6 opening into the housing 1 between the two disks 2 and 3 at a constant speed of the disk 2 and can be passed through a the housing leading from the flow line 7 flow off again.
Since the oil has a fairly high viscosity at low temperature, it adheres strongly to both discs 2 and 3 in the flow of preheat, and the adhesion of the lubricating oil to the opposite end faces of the discs causes a frictional connection between the discs, so that the discs are still -, standing, freely rotatable disc 3 is now taken along. The lubricating oil thus causes the transmission of a torque from the disk 2 to the disk 3.
The speed of the disk 3 is directly dependent on the viscosity of the lubricating oil, since the adhesive strength changes with the viscosity. The more fluid the C) 1 becomes, the lower the torque transmitted from the disk 2 to the disk 3. A display device 9 with a calibration mark 10 is connected in a known manner to the shaft 5 of the disk 3 and the shaft 4 of the disk 2. The display device 9 shows the difference in the speeds of the two discs.
If the pointer 11 of the device 9 has reached the calibration mark 10, the oil has the same degree of lubricity at which the internal combustion engine can be fully loaded.
The display device 9 can for example only be connected to the shaft 5 of the disk 3, so that only the speeds of the disk 3 or the torque transmitted to it are displayed.
