Car body roof, in particular for motor vehicles. The fastening of the covering of the roof of car bodies: for motor vehicles has been carried out in various ways until now. However, satisfactory results were not achieved here.
So it is known to glue the covering as a whole on the roof plate or to attach the edges of the covering with Klam numbers, screwed-down terminal strips, snaps and the like. It is also known to provide sheet metal at the edge of the roof, on the legs of which the edges of the covering are held; in order to prevent the covering from sagging too much between the strips, for example, transverse metal rails are arranged in which the covering is clamped with the help of special bars.
It is also known to thicken the edges of the covering with a paper cord and to hold it in sheet metal strips with an almost closed box cross-section in that the legs of the strips are deformed after the edges of the covering have been inserted. When it comes to seats, it is finally known to thicken the edges of the covering with flat bars and to provide grooves on the seat frame into which the thickened edges of the covering are introduced and in which they cant.
According to the invention, at least two edges of the covering, preferably the two longitudinal edges and a transverse edge, are thickened ver and lie with these thickenings in grooves of the roof edge, which are open through narrower than the thickened slots; Furthermore, the covering is preferably arranged transversely to the roof, connected to the covering elastic rods of preferably lying .Flach cross-section, z. B. made of spring steel strip, GE kept taut, the ends of which engage in the transverse grooves to them and are supported there, the rods being biased by engaging in the grooves.
The thickening of the edges of the covering is advantageously formed by a transversely elastic member connected to these, for example a soft rubber hose. The edge of the covering, which is thickened by the tube and is pushed piece by piece through the slot into the groove, provides a secure hold of the covering and at the same time seals the slot.
The subject matter of the invention is illustrated by way of example in the drawing. This shows in Fig. 1 a side view of a motor vehicle that is partially cut around the roof according to the vertical longitudinal center plane, also on a larger scale in Fig. 2 the attachment point of the front edge of the covering in the vertical longitudinal center section through the vehicle, in 3 and 4, respectively, the attachment point of a longitudinal edge in cross section along the lines III-III. IV-IV of Fig. 1, in Fig. 5 the fastening point of the rear edge in the vertical longitudinal center section through the vehicle, in Fig. 6 a vertical longitudinal center section through the covering in the area of the line IV-IV in Fig. 1 and in Fig 7 shows another embodiment of the fastening of the front edge as shown in FIG.
In Fig. 1, the car body made of sheet steel is denoted by 1, the roof by 2 and its covering by 3.
According to FIG. 2, the front edge 4 of the covering 3 is shaped into a loop in which a soft rubber hose 5 provided with a cloth lies. At the corresponding edge of the roof 2 is a part formed by the press of the car body 1 groove 6 is provided, which is open through a narrower than the thickened edge 4-sized slot to the rear above. The edge 4 of the loading voltage is inserted with compression of the hose 5 through the slot in the groove 6 and held in this.
According to FIGS. 3 and 4, both longitudinal edges 7 of the covering 3 are formed into a loop in which in turn a soft rubber tube 5 is located, and furthermore each longitudinal edge of the roof 2 has a groove 8 formed by the pressed parts of the car body 1, in which is determined by the longitudinal edge of the covering.
In Fig. 4 and 6 is one of the existing spring band steel, the cross-section arranged horizontally and transversely to the roof 2 bars 9 can be seen, which are in loops 10 of the covering 3 and engage with their ends in the longitudinal grooves 8 so that they are thereby biased and the covering 3 keep stretched.
According to FIG. 5, the rear edge 11 of the covering 3 is held in place with snaps 12 on the roof edge of the car body 1.
In the illustrated in Fig. 7 Va riante the attachment of the front edge 4 of the covering is a flat bar 13 in the loop, which is canted in the groove 6 and engages behind the groove wall 14 located on the side against the tensioning center.
The described design requires only a low cost of building materials and working hours and ensures a securely holding, well-tensioned and often changeable roof covering.
The covering can also only for example be held in grooves on the two longitudinal edges and executed front and rear without ver thick edges and be releasably fastened.
