Description
Slot winding insulation for electrical machines and apparatus. It is known to asphalt the slot legs of the windings of high-voltage machines or to wrap them with insulating tape. It has also been suggested that a solid glass tube be pushed onto the groove leg for insulation. Since the glass has only a small wall thickness, is allowed to and is brittle, a lot of waste occurs with this type of insulation. There is also the risk that the glass tube will break during transport or operation. In the invention, too, use is made of glass for the insulation, but: the shortcomings of the above-mentioned glass insulation are avoided.
According to the invention, a glass film provided with a binding agent is placed around the grooves. The glass film can be laid around with the aid of a carrier material such as paper or fabric, it can also be ironed around the groove leg using heat and pressure.
If emphasis is placed on the thermal stability of the insulation, it is advantageous to use inorganic paper or glass fabric and an organic binder that is as heat-resistant as possible, e.g. B. synthetic resin. Instead, however, an inorganic binder can also be used.
The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the game Ausführungsbei shown in Figs.
FIG. 1 shows the slot leg of a machine winding 1 with the ironed-on insulation 2. This insulation consists, as FIG. 2 shows, of a paper web 3 laid around in several windings with glass film layers 4 glued to it.
The invention offers the advantage that: the domestic glass can be used to produce high-quality, flexible insulation that fits snugly to the groove legs and is similar to micanite, which also has great thermal stability.
