Description
Process for the production of a fat-free ointment base.
The present invention relates to a process for producing a fat-free ointment base which can be used both as a base for cosmetic agents and for therapeutically effective ointments.
According to the method, a colloidal aqueous dispersion of a sealing metal compound is mixed with a vegetal gel.
In this way you get a creamy smooth. ointment base, non-sticky and non-damaging to the skin. This can then be added agents for preserving, perfuming and coloring, as well as substances that give it a desired consistency. It has been shown that a wide variety of therapeutically active substances can be added to such a basis.
To produce the ointment base can. ma. n z. B. proceed as follows:
A colloidal light metal compound, e.g. B. colloidal alumina hydrate is mixed with water to a thick paste of oyez and then gradually added as much water until a desired paste-like consistency is achieved.
At the same time will. A vegetable gel produced by extracting plants in the heat and rapidly cooling the extract. Slime-releasing algae, such as Phäophyceen and Phodophyoeen, can be used as the starting material.
The aqueous disperse of the colloidal light metal compound is now added in small portions to the vegetable gel at a temperature of about 60 °, in a mixing device to obtain a mass that is as homogeneous as possible. The quantitative ratio between dispersion and vegetable gel in the total mass can be 1: 3 to 2: 3.
Then, by adding an appropriate acid, e.g. B. of tartaric acid, citric acid, the pH value of the mixture to about 6.5. The cooling of the mixture is best done in a planetary mixer at a low speed. The product obtained is a stable, homogeneous, cream-like ointment base that does not attack the skin and does not stick.
