Description
Process for separating cholesterol from wool fat with the aid of a soap made from coffee oil. The invention relates to a method for separating cholesterol from wool fat with the aid of a soap made from coffee oil, with the simultaneous production of soap glue.
The soap glue can be varied by using soaps made from palm kernel oil and coconut oil or both.
With an oil content of 10 to 12 ö of the coffee, this process is not only interesting for the coffee-producing countries, but also for the low-resource, coffee-consuming countries, since the invention enables valuable use of the coffee grounds oil in the soap industry, which helps others Increased amounts of fats and gels can be added to the diet.
The method can be carried out in such a way that an equal amount (calculated on the weight of the coffee fatty acids) of a wool fat soap-cholesterol emulsion is added to a certain amount of soap, prepared by saponifying coffee oil, then the weight of the mixture is doubled by adding water and- at a temperature of about <B> 90 '</B> C so much salt is dissolved in the soap glue that the glue does not separate.
The mixture is then left to stand still, whereupon the unsaponifiable part is separated above the glue and is quickly completed.
After skimming off the unsaponifiable wool fat, a soap glue remains which, in addition to the soaps of coffee oil, also contains wool fat fatty acids, which can be processed into ready-made soap in a known manner or used for the production of soap powder.
