Electric motor drive on sewing machines, in particular those with a machine head that can be lowered into the support frame or on portable table sewing machines. The invention relates to an electric motor drive on sewing machines, in particular those with a machine head that can be lowered into the support frame, or on portable table sewing machines. According to the invention, a motor whose speed cannot be regulated and a carrier connected to the machine head are designed so that the motor can be removed from the carrier used to hold it.
The electric drive motor can thus be removed from the sewing machine when not in use, which makes lifting and lowering the same comfortable when the machine head is retractable, and makes it easier to move the same to a supply location and bring it to the workplace with table sewing machines.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention with a short-circuit armature motor. 1 and 2 show two elevations perpendicular to one another, FIG. 3 illustrates the connection of the motor to the carrier in a top view of FIG. 2; , Fig. 4 shows a variant of a single unit, and Fig. 5 shows an associated partial section.
In the example shown, 1 is a base plate with the machine head 2, which is only indicated in Fig. 2, dash-dotted lines, so that the electric drive motor 3 and other parts provided with a power cable not ge is more visible. 4 is a handle provided on the short-circuit armature motor 3, and 5. The drive wheel of the motor.
On the outside of the engine. 3, a guide is formed on its jacket with the aid of a screwed-on plate 6, by means of which the motor 3 is attached to an upwardly directed, matching lever 7 which serves as a carrier.
This support lever 7, which is mounted by an axis 8 on a bearing 9 seen on the base plate 1, has at its upper end a cutout 10 for receiving a stop screw attached to the motor 11, whereby the height of the motor is determined. By pulling up the motor 3 on the handle 4, it can be lifted off the support lever 7 when not in use (for the purpose of supply), as is readily apparent.
On the axis 8 of the support lever 7, an angle lever 12 is attached, one arm of which carries a brake insert 13 for the flywheel 14 of the sewing device. The second arm of the angle lever 12 has a toothing 15 with which a gear 16 is in engagement, which is seen on a shaft 17 in front. The shaft 17 is mounted in two attachments 18 present on the base plate 1 and is under the influence of a torsion spring 19 pushed onto the shaft 17, the tension of which is adjustable by means of an adjusting ring 20. An axial Boh tion 21 of the shaft 17 is intended to receive the at right angles bent insert leg of an actuator not shown, the z.
B. by a knee or ge can optionally be actuated by a foot of the seamstress, and by an existing cross pin in its insert leg diametrically opposite the edge notches 22 of the shaft 17 can be brought into engagement, for the purpose of coupling with the same in the circumferential sense.
By corresponding pivoting of the mentioned actuating member by the seamstress, the shaft 17 can be rotated against the influence of the torsion spring 19, so that by mediation of the toothed gear 16, 15 of the angle lever 12 of the axis 8 and the support lever 7 of the motor 3 respectively. the motor drive wheel 5 moves against the hand and flywheel 14 of the sewing device and is pressed against the same force fit.
The drive movement of the motor drive wheel 5 is then transmitted to the wheel 14 and thus to the sewing device; By pressing the motor drive wheel 5 more or less against the wheel 14 and consequently more or less complete transmission of the speed of the motor drive wheel, the speed of the wheel 14 and thereby the sewing speed can be controlled.
If said actuator is released, then by the influence of the torsion spring 19 acting on the shaft 17 and the parts 16, 15, 12, 8 and 7, the motor 3 is moved away from the machine head 2 and the motor drive wheel 5 is out of contact with the wheel 14 of the machine head 2 brought so that the drive of the sewing device is omitted. During this movement of the actuating element, the angle lever 12 comes through its brake application 13 that wheel 14 of the machine head 2 is due, which is thus braked for the purpose of immediate stopping,
the sewing device.
Instead of on the drive motor, the guide plate 6 which is used to connect it to the support lever could also be provided on the support lever, whereby it would be intended to accommodate an insertion tab present on the motor.
According to FIGS. 4 and 5, an arm 23 is clamped onto the shaft 17 influenced by the torsion spring 19, which by means of a pin 24 engages in a slot of one arm of the angle lever 25, which is mounted on the axis 8 and on the second arm Brake insert 13 for the flywheel 14 of the sewing device carries.
By correspondingly rotating the shaft 17 by means of the lengthening, not ge-recorded actuator by the seamstress, the lever device formed by the arm 23 together with the pin 24, the angle lever 25 and the support lever 7 can be pivoted so that the motor drive wheel 5 frictionally the handwheel and flywheel 14 of the sewing device is pressed on.
As a result of the use of an electric motor with a non-controllable speed and thus the elimination of a regulating resistance respectively. other organs used to regulate the speed and the carbon brushes, wear and tear and operational disruptions are accordingly reduced and / or. avoided; Such a motor is also without any further radio interference.
The collector motors that are usual on sewing machines and fixed to the machine head are included. electrical speed regulating resistance (in the form of repulsion motors), when used on sewing machines with a machine head that can be lowered into the support frame, and on portable table sewing machines, the disadvantage is that in the first case the additional load given to the machine head by the weight of the motor Pivoting the retractable machine head, and in the second case bringing the portable machine to the workplace and taking away BEZW. supplying the same, e.g.
B. in a box, is difficult; These drive motors, the running of which is regulated by means of a knee or foot control, are subject to heavy wear and tear, especially in the motor and starter, due to the frequent switching on and off, which leads to malfunctions, and these motors and the associated regulating resistors are not free from radio interference.
