Fadenführnngstrommel and process for their manufacture. For the production of thread guide drums has already been proposed, in addition to steel or other metals, pressed materials and also ceramic materials, preferably soapstone or. Steatite and related substances such as talc, pot stone, agalmatolite and the like to use.
Attempts have also been made to use refractory or highly refractory, ceramically usable oxides or silicates for themselves or in their mixtures, since it had been found that extremely durable drums can also be achieved in this way if they are manufactured accordingly moves.
In the thread guide drum according to the invention, the parts forming the guide grooves have inlays made of metal-ceramic material at their points exposed to greater frictional stress, which is to be understood as metal powder converted into a compact mass by a sintering or fritting process. For example, silicon carbide, carbon stone or the like can be used for this purpose; carbon stone is to be understood as technically pure carbon in the form of ground coke.
In this thread guide drum is the great hardness BEZW without excessive costs. The resistance of the metal-ceramic material to wear and tear in the inserts is exploited, so that the drum has almost unlimited durability. The remaining parts of the drum can consist of ceramic mass, metal, for example steel, or molded mass.
The invention also relates to a method for making such drums.
In the drawing, the drum according to the invention is shown in two Ausführungsbei play, on the basis of which an implementation example of the method according to the invention is explained, namely: Fig. 1 and 2 show a thread guide drum with cross grooves and Fig. 3 and 4 with a thread guide drum simple screw groove.
The drum 11 according to FIG. 1 with a cross groove or. the drum 12 according to FIG. 3 with a screw groove is fastened in a manner known per se on a driven shaft 10, but it can also sit loosely on a rotating shaft when the spool to be wound del BEZW. Sleeve which is driven.
The formation of the made of a round rod, consisting of metal-ceramic material inserts 13, which are arranged at the turning points of the guide grooves because these points are exposed to a stronger frictional stress, results according to the drawing from the relationships at the outer turning points for the purpose Adaptation to the groove shape. For this purpose, the individual a layer 13 only needs to be lifted off into the bottom of the groove (Fig. 2)
is guided and has two planes intersecting at an obtuse angle and a slight rounding of the burrs and the base of the groove in order to have the appropriate, wear-resistant surface shapes.
In order to also secure the points of the thread inlet and outlet in a corresponding manner, the bolt 14 made of metal-ceramic material according to FIGS. 3 and 4 for provided, cut from the round rod has a slightly different elevation, as can be seen from the shape of the guide groove at these points of the drum results easily.
The processing of the metal-ceramic material, which is pre-annealed in the form of a rod, for subdivision and for the formation of the protrusions provided is possible with relatively simple means. The usually considerable shrinkage of the carbides as a result of the annealing can easily be taken into account in the manufacture of the groove inserts.
So it is not necessary to arrange deposits in the form of a coating that shields the ganten of the guide grooves, but it is sufficient to use bolts made of metal-ceramic material, some of which are machined to the bottom of the guide grooves, at certain points in the grooves, in particular the Fadenhubwendestellen and at the end of the inlet and outlet grooves.
The metal-ceramic bream, which preferably contains an addition of tungsten or titanium carbide added in powder form during manufacture. is pressed immediately after the production of the rod shape fitted to the bolt thickness, pre-annealed and then respectively with chip removal. Otherwise expedient processing brought to their final shape, finished sintered, that is, fired, and the finished bolts then inserted into bores in the drum.
When the metal-ceramic lass is pre-cut in the form of a rod, the required lengths are cut off from the rod. and these bolts are finished be worked in several places by chip removal or the like before burning. If necessary, a stick can only be divided into the various inserts after it has been fired.
