Bar turning machine scale. The subject of the invention is an automatic or semi-automatic bar turning machine, for example a tool-holder rocker.
It also relates to the means for mounting the lever and its purpose is to give the latter a very gentle oscillating movement and, therefore, to prevent any danger of the lever jamming.
For this purpose, the rocker is mounted in a cantilever manner on a fixed axis secured to a support, but axially adjustable in the latter, this rocker being mounted on said shaft by means of a ball bearing and of a roller bearing, one of these bearings resting against a thrust ball inserted in the support and forming a seat, so that play is provided between the lever itself and its support.
The appended drawing shows, by way of example and in axial section, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
In the drawing, we can see the rocking support 1 which can be an integral part of the frame of the bar turning machine. In this support is secured by clamping, a pin 2 comprising a cylindrical bulge 2 'on which is fitted a ball stop 3 inserted in a corresponding recess 4 of the support. On the front part of the axis 2, that which exceeds the support 1, the tool-holder rocker 5 is cantilevered, by means of a ball bearing 6 and a roller bearing 7. The ball bearing 6 is fitted into a recess 8 of the rocker and rests laterally on the ball bearing 3 and on the bulge 2 'of the axis 2.
The roller bearing 7 is fitted into a front recess 9 of the rocker and comprises a string of cylindrical rollers 10 arranged in a cone and the axes of rotation of which have their point of convergence on the axis of rotation of the rocker.
The axle 2 is locked by tightening, on the one hand, by means of a nut 11, screwed on the rear end of the axle, and, on the other hand, by means of a nut 12 screwed on the front end of the pin and resting on the inner element of the roller bearing cage 7. A nut 13 is screwed into the recess 9 of the lever and blocks the outer element of the roller bearing cage. roller bearing 7. Thus the nuts 11, 12 and 13 ensure all the assembly of the mounting elements of the rocker, so that the support 1 and the rocker itself are separated from each other by a clearance 14 avoiding any friction between these two parts.
Thanks to this assembly, the oscillating movement of the rocker is very smooth and any danger of seizing is excluded.
The axis 2 is adjustable in the axial direction, if it is necessary to take up a certain play due to wear. To this end, there is provided, in the support 1, a clearance 15 providing the axial play necessary for the bulge 2 'of the pin 2.
