Description

  Beispiel:  18,5 Teile     4-Amino-4'-tert.amyl-1,1'-di-          phenyläther-2-sulfonsäure,    gewonnen durch  Kondensation von     tert.        Amylphenol    mit     p-          Chlornitrobenzolstilfonsäure    und nachfol  gende Reduktion werden in 150 Teilen Was  ser und der nötigen Menge Natronlauge ge  löst, 20 Teile     2,3,4,6-Tetrachlorbenzylchlorid     dazu gebracht und zirka 24     Stunden    zum    Sieden erhitzt, bis keine freie     Aminosulfon-          säure    mehr     nachweisbar    ist;

  Process for the preparation of an aminoarylsulfonic acid derivative. The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of an amino arylsulfonic acid derivative, characterized in that 4-amino-4'-tert-amyl-1,1'-diphenyl ether-2-sulfonic acid with 2,3,4,6- Tetrachlorobenzyl chloride converts.

  The new compound, the 4- (2 ", 3", 4 ", 6" - tetrachlorobenzyl-amino) -4'-tert-amyl-1,1'-diphenyl ether-2-sulfonic acid forms a light-colored sodium salt , powder that is clearly soluble in water and is suitable as a moth repellent.

   Example:  18.5 parts of 4-amino-4'-tert.amyl-1,1'-diphenylether-2-sulfonic acid, obtained by condensation of tert. Amylphenol with p-chloronitrobenzenesilfonic acid and subsequent reduction are dissolved in 150 parts of water and the required amount of sodium hydroxide solution, 20 parts of 2,3,4,6-tetrachlorobenzyl chloride are added and heated to boiling for about 24 hours until no free aminosulfonic acid more is detectable;

   the resulting acid is blunted with soda from time to time. The condensation product separates out in an oily form. It is separated off and dried and, after crushing, forms a light powder.
