Control device-a mechanism. The subject of the invention is a device for controlling a mechanism, comprising a control member with reciprocating movement and two extreme locked positions, such as, for example, the member for controlling a winding and winding mechanism. setting the time with direct effect.
This device is applicable to any instrument or apparatus comprising an engagement and release mechanism, the operation of which must be rigorously precise and safe.
To this end, the control member, for example with rectilinear movement, is adjusted and movable in a sheath and can occupy therein, in the blocked state, one or the other of two extreme positions. determined by the play of a locking key adapted to the sheath and cooperating with notches and stops of said member and of the sheath, this key being actuated by a cam wrench, with limited reciprocating movement, so that the locking die and the movement of the control unit can only be operated using this key.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the subject of the invention.
The. fig. 1, 2 and 3 show the device in section, each in a different operating position; fig. 4 shows a side projection of FIG. 3, slums as in fig. 5 is a section taken along the line V-V of FIG. 2.
In a tubular sheath 7 is adjusted and movable axially a tubular control member 8 formed by a sleeve and intended to act through its lower end, on a mechanism (not shown) which must be put into action, engaged or released.
The sleeve 8 is provided, over part of its length, with two slots 10, respectively 11, diametrically opposed to each other; it is guided in the sheath 7 by a pin 13 fixed to the latter and engaged in the slot 10, so that the sleeve cannot rotate on itself in the sheath. - In the bore of the sleeve 8 is adjusted and axially movable, a cam key 15 16 intended to be actuated by hand, using a control button 15 '.
The shank of this key comprises, on the one hand, a cam 16 adjusted and guided in the slot 10 of the sleeve 8 and comprising two planes 17, respectively 18, inclined with respect to each other -and, d 'on the other hand, two noses 19, respec tively 20, adjusted and guided in the slot 11 of the sleeve 8. These noses 19, 20 are separated from each other by a certain distance and each form a stop cooperating with one of the branches. 21 ', of a key 21 having the shape of a U. This key 21, whose branches: are elastic, is engaged, by its branch 21' passing through a clearance 23 of sheath 7, between noses 19 and 20 of key 15.
This branch also passes through a lateral notch 23 'of the socket 8. The other branch 21 ″ of the key is engaged and tends to remain elastically engaged therein, in a lateral notch 24 of the socket 8 (fig. 1), through a notch or a recess 25 in the sheath 7, so that said key branch can move away in front of the cam 16 and engage in the recess 25, as shown in FIG. 2.
The bush 8 comprises, above the notch 24 and similar to the latter, a second lateral notch, 24 ', in which the key branch 21 "engages at a given moment (fig. . 3), passing through the position shown in fig. 2, when the key 15 is pushed up and down and drives the socket 8 through the branch 21 'of the key, the latter performing a pivoting movement around its branch 21 ".
The operation of the device described is as follows: When the key 15 occupies its initial position (fig. 1), this key and the socket 8 (control member) are held by the key 21 and cannot be released from the sheath 7. In fact, the branch 21 'of the key 21 is held between the upper wall of the recess 23 of the sheath 7 and the nose 20 of the key. As for. the key 21, it cannot accidentally disengage from the sheath, since the end of its branch 21 ″ is bent.
If, from this position, the key 15 is pushed towards the inside of the sleeve 8, the latter is first held stationary by the branch 21 "of the key, then the inclined plane 17 of the cam. 16 approaches the branch 21 "of the key and pushes this branch back into the recess 25 of the sheath 8, which allows the cam 16 to cross this branch of the key and to continue its direct travel. But, when the cam arrives at the position shown in FIG. \ ?, the nose 19 of the key 15 abuts against the branch 21 'of the key and thus drives the socket 8 from top to bottom, at the same time as the key 21 performs a pivoting movement around its branch 21 ".
Therefore, the sleeve 8 acts, through its lower end, on the mechanism to be controlled, until the key branch 27. ", the cam 16 having passed this branch, returns to its initial position, while engaging however in the lateral notch 24 'of the sleeve 8 (fig. 3) to lock the sleeve.
The race. direct from the key 15 and the socket 8 is limited. on the other hand, by branch 21 'of the. key. branch that is coming. abut against the lower wall of the clearance 23 of the sheath 7 (fig. 3).
The device being thus engaged, it can be triggered by pulling on the button 15 ', respectively on the key 15. The operation is then exactly the same as that described above, but takes place in the opposite direction.
Starting from the positions shown in FIG. 3, it is the inclined plane 18 of the cam 16 which first acts on the branch of the key 21 "in order to disengage the latter from the notch 24 'and to release the sleeve 8 (fig. 2). As a result, nose 20 approaches key leg 21 'and drives socket 8 up and down, while imparting retrograde pivoting motion to the key around key leg 21 ".
Finally, the oar 16 having crossed the branch 21 "in the opposite direction, the latter engages again in the notch 24, while the key branch 21 'abuts against the upper wall of the clearance 23 of the sheath 7 (fig. 1).
It should be noted that the key 15 performs, both during its direct stroke and during its retrograde stroke, a certain preliminary path inoperative on the control member 8, which constitutes a security, while avoiding as much inadvertent or accidental triggering or triggering as possible when the device is applied to mechanisms, instruments or apparatus, with sensitive controls.
In the device described, the control member has an alternating rectilinear movement. However, one could conceive without difficulty an embodiment of the invention in which the control members have an alternating rotational movement.
