Electric motor with slip clutch. The present invention relates to an electric motor with a slip clutch. In the case of such motors, it can be useful that the motor is switched off as soon as there is resistance in the motor-driven device and, as a result, the clutch slips. In order to switch off the engine automatically in such a case, according to the invention, in normal operation, two gears are each connected to one of the coupling halves. When the clutch slips, on the other hand, turning the two clutch halves towards one another causes an axial displacement of one gear and thus actuation of the motor - supply current switch in the sense of switching off.
The accompanying drawing shows schematically an embodiment of the subject invention. 1 and 2 are the halves of a slip clutch of known type. The two coupling halves 1 and 2 'are pressed against one another by a helical spring 3 in that the spring 3 is supported on one end against the coupling half 1 and on the other end against a screw nut 4. The latter is screwed onto the end of the shaft 5 of the motor 6. The coupling half 1 sits non-rotatably on the motor shaft 5. The coupling half 2, which has to do some work, sits on the other hand rotatably on the motor shaft 5. The spring 3 can be set so that the coupling slips when the coupling closes transmitted force exceeds a certain size.
The coupling half 1 rotates with the motor 6; then the coupling half 2 is also set in rotation by the pressure of the spring 3. Occurs for any reason in the coupling half 2 respectively. in the device driven by it, a resistance that is greater than the frictional resistance between the two coupling halves, the coupling half 2 remains in its rotation or stops while the coupling half 1 continues to rotate until the motor 6 is removed is switched. This shutdown of the motor 6 now takes place automatically when the clutch 1, 2 slips. For this purpose, each coupling half carries a ring gear 7 respectively. 9. The ring gear 7 meshes with a gear 8 and the ring gear 9 with a gear 10 which is fixed on a shaft 11.
The latter has a bearing 12 which is pivotable about a pin 13 between stops 14, 14 rule. The wheel 8 sits loosely on the shaft 11, but rotates when it is moved along the shaft 11 around the latter as a result of a screw thread 15 between these parts, with a helical spring 16 acting on one end of the wheel 8 and on the other end of the shaft 11 being tensioned or . relaxes.
The gears 7 and 9 respectively. 8 and 10 are equal in size. As soon as the clutch 1, 2 slips, that is, there is a speed difference between the two wheels 8 and 10, the gear 8 is pushed laterally out of the ring gear 7 by following the thread 15, twisting and thereby tensioning the spring 16 . A mercury rocker switch 17 is also adjusted by the shifting gear 8 so that the supply current of the motor 6 is interrupted.
By briefly closing a pushbutton switch 18, a magnetic coil 19 receives current through the adjusted rocker 17, which causes the shaft 11 connected to its armature 20 and the pin 13 to be pivoted. As a result, the tensioned spring 16 can be tensioned again by twisting the gear 8 and the shaft 11 against each other and thereby pushing the gear 8 onto the toothing 7, whereby the rocker 17 tilted back into the position shown and the coil 19 is powerless. It can now bezw the gears 8 and 10 in the ring gears 9. 7 so that all moving parts assume the position shown again.
