Brennstoffpumpe an mehrzylindrigen .Einspritzbrennkraftmaschinen.
Fuel pump on multi-cylinder .injection internal combustion engines. The invention relates to a fuel pump on multi-cylinder injection internal combustion engines, in which individual machine cylinders can be switched off in the range from zero load to partial load.
The essence of the invention is that a pump pressure chamber supplies several machine cylinders in different time segments during the same pump pressure stroke, and that individual pressure channels interact with an overflow valve that can disable at least two but not all of the machine cylinders, while the associated pump pressure chamber continues to fuel supplies under pressure to those other machine cylinders that correspond to the pressure channels not relieved by the overflow valve.
For a more detailed explanation of the subject of the invention, the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing are used.
1, 2 and 3 illustrate, in longitudinal section, a single-cylinder fuel pump for a four-cylinder internal combustion engine, FIG. 4 shows the pump from above. The lines I-I, II-H, HI-IH and Y-V in Fig. 4 indicate the position of the longitudinal sections of Figs. 1-3 and 5; Fig. 5-10 illustrate in Ausnit th examples of details: The same parts are denoted by the same reference numerals in all figures.
In the pump housing 1, the pump cylinder 2 is arranged, in which the piston 3 moves. The pressure stroke movement is brought about by the cam 5 on the shaft 6 and the plunger 4, the suction stroke movement is brought about by the spring 25. The cam 5 rotates in the direction of the arrow 5e. The pump piston has a recess 19 with control edges and the control part 33 and provided with the fuel channels 21 and 22. The openings lüaa-10dd of the four pressure channels los, lob, 10e and 10d are attached in the pump cylinder in various axial and horizontal planes.
These channels lead to the four pressure valves 13a-134, to which the pressure lines 14a-144, which lead to the fuel injection nozzles of the engine cylinders, are connected. In Fig. 1 the pressure line 14a and the associated nozzle 16 with its pressure valve 13 are shown.
The nozzle 16 protrudes into a working cylinder 17 with the working piston 18 of an injection internal combustion engine. In the pump cylinder the four overflow channels 20a, 20b, 20c and 20d (Fig. 2) are also provided, the relief chamber 30e formed between cylinder 2 and block 7 with the common relief line 30 for the fuel flowing back from the pressure channels 10a-104 keep in touch. The line 30 leads the fuel to a fuel container or to another suitable location.
During the pressure stroke, the individual pressure channels come into contact with the pump pressure chamber 23 one after the other via the fuel channels 21, 22 and the recess 19 in the piston 3. The control of the delivery amount is done in a known manner by rotating the pump piston 3, with the help of a control rod 31 which is provided with teeth and a toothed segment 32 ver provides, which is coupled to the pump piston by the pin 3e. The ring gear segment is slidably mounted in a recess la in the pump housing. By moving the rod 31, the toothed segment 32 and the pump piston coupled to it are rotated through a certain angle.
As a result, the inclined control edge 33c on the control part 33 is also adjusted and the delivery rate is regulated in a manner known to those skilled in the art. The inclined edge closes ver namely depending on their position, the mouths of the overflow channels sooner or later during a pressure stroke of the Pum pen piston. The delivery rate is correspondingly larger or smaller. Under the pressure valves 13a-134 different sized compensation spaces 43 respectively. 44 resp. 45 resp. 46 arranged.
FIG. 5 illustrates part of the single-cylinder fuel pump according to FIG. 1 on a smaller scale and a section according to line V-V of FIG. 4. The overflow channels 20b-204 are shown in dashed lines. Since with two pressure channels and thus z. B. two cylinders of the machine respectively from the promotion. Fuel supply can be switched off, two special overflow channels 20bb and 204d are arranged, which merge into the special and common for these channels from line 30c.
In this line, the cock 30d is attached, with which the Lei device 30e can be kept open or closed who can. The tap can be operated by hand or by an automatic regulator. If the cock is closed, delivery takes place through all pressure lines 14a to 14d, but if the cock is open, no fuel or the like flows into the pressure channels 10b and 10d, but only into the line 30c.
An electromagnetic device 71 is shown in FIG. 6 as an example of an automatic operation of the cock 30d, the coil 71a of which receives power from the battery 75 by closing the contact 74 when the throttle disc 72 is in the air supply line 73 of the internal combustion engine (not shown).
As a result, the core 76 is pulled against the force of the return spring 76a between the coil 71a and the cock 30d connected to the core by means of lever 77 is adjusted in the fuel discharge line 30c so that it opens the drain, i.e. the fuel supply to the corresponding machine cylinders prevents. The cock could also be provided by a pneumatic device in the manner of the piston 83 in FIG. 7 as a function of the pressure in the air supply line 73 behind the throttle valve 72.
7 and 8, a piston valve device is arranged as an example for the shutdown of the channel 10a. The piston 80 entered two recesses 81 and 81a and a fuel channel 81b which connects the two recesses. It slides in a cylinder 82 and is adjusted by a pneumatic piston 83 against the force of the return spring 84. The pneumatic Kol ben is set on one side, at 85, the atmospheric pressure, on the other side, at 86, your pressure in the air supply line of an internal combustion engine, not shown. It is adjusted by the excess atmospheric pressure against the pressure of the loading springs 87.
The piston movements are transmitted to the valve piston by means of the rod 88. In the position shown in Fig. 7, the fuel arriving through the pressure line 10a during the pressure stroke of the pump piston, not shown, can pass through the recess 81 into the continuation of this pressure line located above the piston 80. When the pressure in the air supply line of the machine falls, the piston 83 moves to the left and thereby guides the valve piston into a position in which the recess 81a comes into contact with the fuel discharge line 30e (FIG. 8).
From the pressure line 1.0a coming fuel can now flow through the recess 81, the channel 81b and the recess 81a in the Ent load line 30c. The machine cylinder connected to the pressure line 10a therefore no longer receives any fuel, it is switched off.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 9 and 10, a connecting channel 91 is attached between the pressure channel 10a and the suction line 8. The cock 92 is set up in such a way that it only allows fuel to pass from the channel 10a after the pressure line 14a or also to enter the connecting channel 91. In the latter case, illustrated by FIG. 10, the associated machine cylinder is switched off from the fuel supply.
From the description of the exemplary embodiments it can be seen that devices for switching off any number of pressure lines on a pump according to FIG.
