Ignition timing adjustment device with operating linkage on internal combustion engines. In the case of ignition timing adjustment devices on internal combustion engines that are operated by a linkage engaging an adjustment lever, there is a risk that the forces transmitted by the linkage in the end positions of the adjustment ranges will damage the adjustment devices, so that the ignition point can no longer be set precisely is.
According to the invention, this is prevented by a coupling member with two springs between the adjusting lever of the ignition timing adjustment device and the linkage, one of which is pressed together when the linkage is subjected to tension or pressure beyond the end positions of the adjusting lever.
In Figs. 1 to 3 of the accompanying drawings, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown, namely Fig. 1 shows an unclaimed adjustment linkage with a coupling member according to the invention, Fig. 2 the same adjustment linkage claimed in train and Fig. 3 in compression .
In the figures, a denotes an adjusting device with an adjusting lever d pivotable between two fixed stops b and c. To connect the adjustment lever d; which can also be slidable perpendicular to the image plane in the direction of the shaft s, with an adjusting linkage e is a fork piece f, in which a screwed onto the adjusting lever d and rotatable here engages bolt d '.
An elastic coupling member is inserted between the fork piece f and the linkage e, which has a sleeve g with two helical springs <I> lt. </I> and <I> i, </I> which are in the sleeve g between each two discs <I> k, 1, </I> and'm, <I> n </I> are under tension.
Approximately in the middle of the sleeve g, the two disks <I> k </I> and <I> m </I> are cushioned against a bead o, while the disk l on the beaded edge g 'The sleeve g rests and the disc n between a bead p and an existing at the end of the linkage e and with the linkage firmly connected ball q is set, through which the linkage e is connected to the sleeve g in the manner of a ball joint a related party . On the other side, a shaft <I> f '</I> of the fork piece <I> f </I> protrudes into the interior of the sleeve g, on which the washers <I> k, l </I> are loose are pushed on and which is provided with a rivet head f "at its free end.
If now, in the setting shown in Fig. 1, the device a is pulled on the Ge rod e, the tensile force from the ball q is applied to the sleeve g and via the disk i 'to the spring h. and the washer <I> k </I> which rests on the rivet head f "of the fork shaft f '. Since the force of the spring / a is greater than that required to pivot the lever d, the lever <I> d </I> swiveled to the stop <I> b </I> without compressing the spring / t.
In this pivoting movement, the spring only serves as a transmission organ for the force exerted on the linkage e. If, on the other hand, according to FIG. 2, the lever d rests against the stop b and is pulled further on the rod e in the direction of the arrow, the sleeve g with the disk l is also taken along in the direction of the arrow and the spring H between the disks <I> k </I> and l are pressed together in the manner shown in FIG. 2.
The tension exerted on the linkage e is thus absorbed by the spring h in this case without the adjusting lever d being bent or another part of the adjusting device a being damaged.
If, on the other hand, pressure is exerted on the rod e from the position shown in FIG. 1 in the direction of the arrow shown in FIG. 3, this is also carried out by the ball q via the disk ra, the spring <I> i </ I > and the disk vt is transferred to the rivet head <I> f "</I> of the fork piece <I> f </I> and thus to the adjusting lever d, which is thereby pivoted into the position shown in FIG. 3 ,
since the force of the spring i is greater than the forces required to execute the pivoting movement of the lever d. When the lever d rests against the stop c and the linkage is pushed further in the direction of the arrow, the sleeve g also moves on in the direction of the arrow. The shaft f 'of the fork piece then moves into the sleeve g and, with its rivet head f "resting on the washer m, compresses the spring i, which is resting with its other end on the washer n, as shown in FIG.
The pressure on the adjustment linkage e is thus absorbed by the spring i in this case and is avoided by damage to the adjustment device a.
If the lever d attached to the shaft s not only performs a pivoting movement during the displacement movement, but is also displaced in the direction of the shaft s with it perpendicular to the plane of the drawing, the sleeve g must also perform a reciprocating and a pivoting movement at the same time .
This is made possible by the fact that the sleeve g with the linkage e through a ball joint formed from the ball <I> q </I> and the sleeve g and with the adjusting lever d also in the manner of a ball joint through the bolt screwed onto the adjusting lever d and rotatable here d 'and the fork piece f which is pivotable on the bolt d' is connected. A shift of the adjustment lever d in the direction of the shaft s can, for example, be considered when an adjustment movement initiated by pivoting the lever d is transmitted by a piston with a piston rod moving back and forth in the housing a.
