Leaning and reclining armchairs. The subject of the invention is a reclining and reclining chair with a rigid frame with armrests and a backrest that can be folded back, which in an appropriate embodiment differs from the known reclining and reclining chairs in that the setting of the reclining and reclining position of the armchair No special operation or actuation of locks or standing out of the armchair is required.
The setting of the leaning and lying position or any desired intermediate position should rather be effected automatically by changing the body position or center of gravity of the body of the person in the armchair, without any particular effort.
According to the invention, this is made possible by the fact that the seat of the armchair is inevitably raised by the tilting movement of the backrest, which can be folded backwards into an approximately horizontal position, and at the same time a foot and calf support is pivoted into the standby position. In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown on different variants of armchairs.
1 shows an armchair in a diagram with the side rest removed, showing the adjustment mechanism, in a leaning or sitting position, FIG. 2 an armchair in a diagram in a reclining position, FIG. 3 another embodiment of the armchair in a reclining position, FIG. 4 a side elevation a further variant of the armchair, partly in section, FIGS. 5 and 6 further variants of the armchair in the diagram with the adjustment construction according to the invention.
The armchair shown is formed on the one hand by a rigid frame, be standing from the two armrests bil Denden side parts 1 (Fig. 4) and this mutually bracing slat construction 2, 3 and 4 and on the other hand from the adjustable ble parts, namely the backrest 5, the seat 6, the calf rest 7 and the foot rest B. On the backrest 5, lateral metal arms 9 with stub axles 10 be fastened. By means of this stub axle 10, the backrest is rotatably mounted in the side parts 1 and can be folded in an almost horizontal position: This reversed position is limited by the backrest 5 lying on the transverse plate 4.
The seat 6 of the armchair is hinged with its rear end to the free lower ends of the 1% lethal low 9 of the backrest at 11. At the front end of the seat 6 is on both sides of pins 12, 13 rotatably a parallelogram guide linkage, consisting of the vertical th in the position of FIG. 1 arms 14, 15 and the connecting webs 16, 17, articulated. The arms 14 have two arms and at their upper ends carry the axle journals 18, by means of which the seat 6 is rotatably mounted on the side parts 1.
This swingable suspension of the seat 6 on the axle journals 10, 18 has the effect that when the backrest 5 is folded down, the seat is pivoted forwards and upwards parallel to itself, that is to say is raised. At the same time, the legs 14, 15 of the parallelogram guide linkage are pivoted into an inclined position that corresponds approximately to the respective position of the backrest. The lower part of the calf support 7 is articulated to the lower ends of the legs 14 and its upper part to links 19,
which links 19 are articulated at the other end to the connection of the legs 15 with the connecting webs 16 in such a way that they form an angle with the connecting parts 16 such that when the parallelogram guide rods swing forward, the upper part of the calf support 7 with respect to the legs 14, 15 is pivoted forward. As a result, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a well-aligned transition from the seat surface to the calf rest is made.
The footrest 8 is hinged to the lower ends of the legs 14 by means of a bracket 20 so that it can be pivoted out. The Be tenteile of the bracket 20 are two-armed with respect to the axis of rotation of the bracket, with the other elongated ends of the side parts
