Kühleinrichtung an elektrischen Maschinen geschlossener Bauart.
Cooling device on closed-type electrical machines. In the case of electrical machines that are completely encapsulated, the heat loss must be dissipated to the outside. For this purpose, the engines of this type are often provided with an internal air circulation and an external cooling. By means of a fan, the air in the machine housing is passed through axial air ducts of the rotor iron and via return ducts to the possibly enlarged. Surface provided bearing shield returned; where it is cooled down by the external cooling so that it can be used again to cool the rotor. The outside cooling of the end shield is done by means of a fan attached to the machine shaft outside the end shield.
With this type of ventilation, however, the surface of the end shield must be designed both on the inside and on the outside so that the most effective heat dissipation from the machine can take place. According to the innovation, this is achieved in that the end shield is designed with pronounced cooling pockets that are corrugated in the circumferential direction, through which the inside air is driven before entering the cooling channels of the rotor, while the outside air is on the outside of the end shield between the Cooling pockets flow through to the outside.
Based on the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the innovation is explained in more detail, namely the figure shows part of an electric motor in longitudinal section. In the closed motor housing a, the Sta torbleche b are attached. The rotor laminations c are arranged on the shaft d and so formed from; that air ducts e are available for the internal air circulation.
The internal air is returned from the left to the right side of the motor through the interior of the hollow ribs f of the housing a. The internal air circulation is generated by the fan g, which draws the air out of the Sucks in the housing space h communicating with the return channels f and presses it into the radial cooling pockets i of the end shield k. Here this air is further cooled, and after leaving the end shield k it penetrates into the rotor ducts e and cools the rotor iron c.
The cooling of the end shield and the air circulating in it is brought about by external cooling of the end shield k. For this purpose, a fan l be fastened to the shaft d outside the end shield, which drives the outside air through between the cooling pockets i, namely in the one with a dashed line Direction indicated by arrows. The course of the indoor air is indicated by the full arrows.
In order to give the inside air the desired direction in the pronounced cooling pockets i which are wave-shaped in the circumferential direction, guide pieces m can also be provided on the end shield k . Furthermore, the cooling surface of the pockets i can be enlarged by attaching cooling fins.
The arrangement described is, of course, easily suitable for direct and alternating current machines.
