Bouilloire.
Il est aisé à comprendre que les gaz de combustion dégagés par le brûleur 5, après avoir tout d'abord chauffé le fond de l'usten sile 7, au lieu de s'échapper directement à l'air libre comme c'est le oas, généralement, sont contraints de passer par l'espace ménagé entre les nervures 6 et de s'élever par l'inter valle 9 créé entre les parois latérales de l'us tensile 7 et intérieures de la couronne 1;
Kettle. The object of the present invention is a kettle, the capacity of which is intended for. receive a liquid to be heated, is in the shape of a crown inside which a cooking utensil can be placed, the whole arranged in such a way that, when the cooking utensil - is placed inside the crown and exposed to a heat source, the hot gases produced by it, after having heated the bottom of the utensil,
rise between the side walls of said utensil and the inner walls of the crown which they heat before escaping into the open air; which results in a good use of the calories produced by the heat source which heat not only the contents of the cooking utensil, but also the liquid contained in the capacity of the crown.
An embodiment of the kettle forming the subject of the present invention is shown, schematically and by way of example; to the attached drawing in which: The fi-. 1 shows said embodiment in side elevation; fig. 2 shows in elevation in cross section, a cooking utensil being placed in the crown, on a gas burner as a heat source, and the fi. 3 shows the kettle in plan.
The embodiment shown com carries a ring 1 whose capacity 2 is filled with a liquid to be heated, water for example, which has been introduced therein and can be extracted therefrom through a neck 3; a handle 4 allows the handling of the kettle which, as shown in FIG. 2, can be placed on a gas stove 8 so that a burner 5 thereof is in the middle of the bottom of the crown; a cooking utensil 7 is placed inside the crown and rests on four ribs: 6 which has the re-entrant bottom of the crown.
It is easy to understand that the combustion gases given off by the burner 5, after having first heated the bottom of the utensil 7, instead of escaping directly to the open air as is the oas , generally, are forced to pass through the space formed between the ribs 6 and to rise through the gap 9 created between the side walls of the tensile 7 and inner walls of the ring 1;
before escaping to the air released, these gases are caused to communicate the greater part of the calories which they still transport to the cooking utensil and to the kettle, the liquid which it contains is heated. A notable saving in fuel is thus achieved compared to what occurs when the utensil 7 is placed on the burner 5 without the interposition of the kettle 1.
One can provide other forms of execution of the kettle than that shown; for example the kettle could be viewed with two handles instead of a handle 4, the neck 3 could be longer and be re-curved like a duckbill, the crown could have a cross section other than that shown, the ribs 6 could be in number other than four, three for example or more than four, etc.
The kettle shown may be placed on a heat source other than a gas burner; it can be made of any suitable material, for example copper or brass, tinned or not, sheet iron, galvanized or not, or enamelled or not, aluminum, etc.
