Device for guiding and driving picture sound films or sound films with elastic film tensioning roller. The invention relates to a device for guiding and driving picture sound films or sound films with a resilient film tension roller. It is known in sound film devices to arrange a resilient film tensioning roller behind the sound control point. It is also known to assign the sound control point to a smooth roll to be taken along by the film, to which the film is pressed to increase the friction by means of a pressure roller which is under the influence of a spring.
Such an arrangement is especially chosen when a flywheel is connected to the smooth roller. Furthermore, it is known to arrange a friction brake in front of the sound control point in the film direction, which is used to Beruhi movement of the film and also to increase the friction Ver.
These known arrangements have the disadvantage that starting up the device, especially if the film takes along a flywheel via a smooth roller, takes a considerable amount of time if, for example, the pressure roller is not given excessive pressure from the start may be undesirable for structural reasons, or is impossible with rubber pressure rollers, for example, because it deforms the rubber. This would then lead to further sources of interference that would influence the running of the film.
In the case of excessive contact pressure, it is also difficult to lift off the pressure roller in order to either insert the film or to lift the roller when the device is shut down so that it is not unnecessarily stressed in the rest position at the support point.
Another disadvantage is that when the device is shut down, the centrifugal mass takes a long time to coast down.
The known friction brakes in front of the sound control point are also not suitable for avoiding the difficulties, since with a large braking force the start-up time is shortened, but the film is also excessively stressed. This not only affects the perforations in the film, but also its surface.
Such friction brakes are therefore set to a minimal frictional pressure that is just sufficient to ensure the necessary friction between the film and the smooth roll for normal operation.
The invention relates to such devices. in which the Filia takes a flywheel via a smooth roller and consists in that the movement of the film tensioning roller when the device starts up activates Milael, which:
Accelerate the start of the Scbwun @ mass. This is expediently achieved in this way. that when the film starts up, the friction between the film and the smooth rollers carried along by the film is increased or the centrifugal mass roller is given an additional drive. Furthermore, the arrangement is expediently made so that
that the means, which accelerate the centrifugal mass when starting, also serve to shorten the deceleration time when it is stopped.
Some embodiments of the subject matter of the invention with details are explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 1. to 1.3. In the figures, the smooth roller, which is connected to a flywheel and on which the sound control point is arranged, is marked with 1, the film with 2, the NacInvickel roller with 3 and the resilient film tensioning roller with 6.
In FIGS. 1 to 4, the film is transported through a toothed roller 3 and takes along the smooth roller 1 with a flywheel. To increase the friction between the film and the smooth roller 1, a pressure roller 4 is provided in FIGS. 1 and 2, which is expediently made of elastic material, for example rubber.
This Aridruekrolle is under the enclosure of a spring 5, the tension of which in normal operation is so great that the friction between the film and the smooth roller 1 is sufficient. A film tensioning roller G is arranged between the smooth roller 1 and the tooth roller 3, which is under the influence of the spring 7, the tension of which is regulated by a screw 8. can earth. The film tensioning roller (i is held on a lever arm 9 which rotates around the axis <B> 10 </B>.
The arrangement is made in FIG. 1. that the film tensioning roller with a pivoting movement around the axis 1, 1) in the clockwise direction (this movement affects the film tensioning roller when the device is running) through the upper extended part 11 a control arm 1? with takes. which is connected to the lever arm 1-l by a screw 13.
on which the pressure roller 4 is pivoted about the axis 1.5. This star arm is preferably before. elastic. for example designed as a leaf spring.
The extended part 11 of the lever arm can also. as in the V i-. ? is shown. are connected to the pressure spring 5. In both cases is achieved. that when the film tensioning roller 6 moves clockwise, i.e. when the device starts running, the pressure against the roll 1 is increased, thus accelerating the start-up of the flywheel as a result of greater power transmission.
The pressure can be conveniently regulated, for example by regulating the pressure spring or adjusting the control arm. If the film tension roller is firmly connected to the spring of the pressure roller, it must be ensured that in normal operating conditions the pressure of this spring is still so great that sufficient friction is generated between the film and the roller.
When the device is stopped, or when the film is scarred, the film tensioning roller makes a counterclockwise movement under the influence of the tension spring 7. This movement is used to lift the pressure roller. This is done in that the upper part 11 of the lever arm of the film tensioning roller lies against a nose 16; which is mounted above the pivot point 15 on the lever arm of the pressure roller.
The transmission of the forces occurring during the movement of the film tensioning roller to the pressure roller can also take place in a different way than shown. For example, by moving the film tensioning roller, electrical contacts can be released, which in turn control circuits which, for example, exert magnetic forces on the pressure roller in one sense or the other. Other embodiments are shown in FIGS. 3 to 5. The control of the pressure when starting takes place here via a friction brake.
In Fig. 3 the resilient film tensioning roller 6 is superimposed on a lever arm 17 GE, which is rotatable about the axis 18 and arranged in the guide parts 19 displaceably. At one end of the lever arm there is a roller 20 which rests against a brake skid 21 which is pressed against the fixed track 23 by the springs 22. The movable runner has an inclined, for example curved path 24. When starting the film tensioning roller 6 is moved in the direction of arrow 24 Rich. Then the roller 20 goes to the left and presses the runner 21 with an increased pressure against the web 23 due to the inclined arrangement of the guide.
In normal operation, the film tension roller 6 goes back again, and only the springs 22 act on the runner 21. This arrangement is modified in FIG. 4 in such a way that the runner 21, which can be designed in the usual manner, is below the The influence of a lever 25 is mounted which is rotatably mounted about the axis 26 and has an extension 27 which is immersed in a sole 28. The solenoid 28 is in a circuit with the battery 29 and the variable resistor 30 which is changed by the movement of the film tension roller.
For this purpose is in the film tension roll respectively. whose lever arm is a sliding contact 31, which stood with the counter 30 is in contact. The film tension roller 6 moves when starting in the direction of arrow 24; it takes the contact 31 with it and reduces the resistance 30. In the solenoid 28, an increased current flows thereupon, which causes the extension 27 to dip deeper. This has the consequence that the pressure with which the runner 21 is pressed against the guide part 23 is increased. When the film tensioning roller goes back and assumes its normal position, the pressure of the friction brake also goes back to the value that is determined by the spring 32.
The known shapes can be selected for the formation of the pressure runners, for example two runners that only attack the edges of the film. The change in resistance in the solenoid circuit can also be brought about in other ways, for example intermittently.
Instead of the fixed friction brake in FIGS. 3 and 4, a friction brake can also be used, as shown in FIG. A smooth roller 33, which is attached in front of the roller 1, is rotatably mounted on a hollow shaft 34 which is fastened with the screw 35 to the mounting piece 36, for example the housing wall of an apparatus. Against the end face of the smooth roller lies a disk 37, with the interposition of a felt disk 38. The disk 37 is connected to an axis 39 via which the springs 40 pulls the disk 37 against the end face of the roller. The free end of the axle 39 is immersed in a solenoid 41.
This solenoid is now controlled in the manner described in FIG. 4 as a function of the film tensioning roller in such a way that when the device starts up, the pressure exerted by the disc 37 against the end face of the roller is increased. To increase the effect, a pressure roller 43 can also be provided in this arrangement, the pressure of which can also be controlled.
In FIGS. 6, 7 and 8 the film \ 3 is drawn off in a known manner by a pre-winding roller 43 from the supply reel (not shown) and drawn by the post-winding roller 3 over the smooth roller 1, which is finitely connected to a flywheel 44. The sound control point is located on this role and the role is referred to below as the sound roll. Between the clay roller 1.
and the rewinding roller 3 is the filin tensioning roller 6, which is under the influence of a preferably adjustable spring 45. The individual rollers can, for example, as the side projection in FIG. 8 shows, be mounted in a mounting plate 46. This presentation is only schematic.
In FIG. 6, a friction wheel 47 is attached to the axis of the pre-winding roller 43. which is in constant frictional connection with an intermediate gear 48. This intermediate wheel 48 is mounted on a lever 49, the un teres end of which carries the film tension roller 6. When the device starts up, the film tension roller moves in the direction of arrow 511 and during this movement takes the intermediate wheel 48 with it and presses it against a friction wheel 51 which is connected to the sound roller 1.
The friction wheel 48 mediates the sound roller respectively. the flywheel an additional drive. When the target speed is approached, the Filinspa.nnrolle 6 moves against the arrow 50 and thus switches the additional drive off again. The inter mediate wheel 48 is preferably made of rubber. But it can also consist of other materials. The additional drive can also be effected by toothing.
The arrangement can also be carried out according to FIG. The friction wheel and the film tension roller are mounted on separate levers.
One end of the lever of the film tension roller lays down when starting against one end of the lever of the friction wheel and presses the friction wheel to the sound roll, respectively. Bulk roll. In Fig. 8, the sound roller 1 is driven via a friction wheel 51 which, with its drive wheel 5 \? is mounted on a lever 53, the lower end of which carries the film tensioning roller 6.
Correspondingly, as in FIG. 6, when starting up the friction wheel 51 is pressed against the clay roller 1 and gives it an additional drive in that the friction wheel 51 is driven by a belt drive 54 from the intermediate roller axle via the pulleys 55 and 5? is driven. The latter is connected to the friction wheel 51. The drive is made with crossed belts so that the friction wheel exerts a torque on the sound roller in the sense of the direction of film travel.
Another difference compared to FIGS. 6 and 7 is that the friction wheel 51 presses the film itself against the sound roller, so that the drive effect of the film on the flywheel is increased when it starts up. Deflection pulleys are shown at 56. Instead of the belt drive, another suitable transmission, for example a toothed drive or chain drive, can be used. The drive of the friction wheel can also take place from another axis of the device, for example from the rewinding roller axis.
Another embodiment for the mechanical drive of the sound roller 1 is shown in FIG. 9. The spring-mounted film tensioning roller 6 displaces a friction wheel 57, which is mounted on a lever arm 59 which is pivotable by 58. Is coaxial with the axis of the clay roller 1. the feed roller 43 is arranged, which receives its drive, for example, via a worm drive 6 ().
The pre-winding roll and the drive are located at 61. 'With the pre-winding roll there is a friction _-ad 6? connected that constantly revolves with.
With this arrangement, the clay roller acbse can turn in relation to the drive, even if the drive is also. with regard to the friction between the two coaxial axes, is able. to transmit a small torque to the axis of the sound roller. A further friction wheel 63 is firmly connected to the sound roller axle. When the friction wheel 57.
which is preferably made of rubber, the friction wheels 62, 63 are coupled to one another so that the pulley shaft with the flywheel 44 is carried along by the drive 60. In principle, the device according to FIG. 9 works, i.e. like the arrangements in FIGS. 6, 7 and B.
Fig. 10 shows an arrangement which carries out the acceleration of the flywheel by electromagnetic means. The pre-winding roller 43 and the post-winding roller 3 are driven by a motor 64 via the chain drives 65, 66 or other transmission means. Coaxially to the sound roll 1 with the flywheel 44, a magnetic field 67 is arranged, which is rotated by the motor 64 ge.
Power is supplied via slip rings 68, which are attached to motor shaft 70 with insulation 69. When the magnetic field is excited, it exerts a torque on the flywheel 44 in the sense of the film running. The excitation of the magnetic field results from the fact that the film tracking roller 6, when it is moving, makes a contact 71, for example a sliding contact, which switches a current source 72 to the magnet.
The contact is set up in such a way that it has closed the circuit during the movement of the tensioning roller in the direction of arrow 73, that is, against the spring 45, that is to say during the start-up process. Only when the normal operating position is reached is the contact released and thus the magnetic field canceled, so that the sound roller and the flywheel then only receive their drive from the film itself.
11, 12 and 13 a device is shown, which causes the Steue tion as a function of a film tension roller. The reference numbers are identical to those in the previous figures for identical items. The main drive motor 74 serves to rotate the pre-and post-winding rollers 43 and 3 for the film. 75, 76, 77, 78 and 79 are any power transmission means, example, gears, chains. Belts, pulleys or the like.
The sound roll is designated with 1, the flywheel with 44, the acceleration or auxiliary drive motor with 80. On the axis 81 clay roller, rotor of the motor 80 and flywheel are arranged in this example, with the same time the bearings of the auxiliary drive motor 80 also serve as bearings for the shaft of the clay drum and the flywheel. Behind the sound roll 1, the film 2 runs over a resilient film tensioning roll 6, which is to be used to control the switching processes, but is not shown in FIG. 11.
When starting the device, the main switch 101 is inserted. The main motor 74 thus receives power and starts up; in the process, the resilient film tensioning roller 6 is moved in the direction of the arrow 50 and snaps against the contact 102. As a result, a connection is established via the minus contact 102, spring 45, line 103 to a. The auxiliary motor 80 is thus switched on and accelerates the flywheel be.
When the clay roller 1 and thus the centrifugal mass has reached a certain speed, the resilient guide roller slowly goes back to the middle position between the contacts 102 and 104, whereby the auxiliary motor 80 is switched off again. At this moment, the line 105 is neither at the contact 104 nor at the contact 102.
If the main switch 101 is now pulled to shut down the apparatus, the transport rollers 3 and 43 stop so that no more film is transported, and the resilient film tensioning roller 6 moves in the opposite direction of arrow 50 to contact 104, which now has a Conductive connection between points a and b via 104, 105, 45, 103 is established, but this switches the load 87 to the auxiliary motor 80, whereby the braking of the apparatus is effected.
The above-described arrangements can be applied to all devices of sound film technology, in which a spring-loaded film tension roller is seen in front of the film. These are primarily devices for recording, playing back and duplicating sound recordings. with: flywheel, which is carried along by the film via a smooth roll.
It is. it is not necessary for the film to be transported via spikes; other suitable means of transport @ 'can also be used.
