Description
Toilet paper holder. The present invention relates to a holder for toilet paper rolls. The known holders have the disadvantage that the paper can be unrolled very easily, and very often more paper is torn off than necessary.
The purpose of the present invention is to remedy this disadvantage, and this is achieved by the fact that on the holder in the interior of the roller projecting conical centering and braking pieces and also means are seen in front of at least one of the braking pieces with adjustable strength on the roller pressing and thus being able to regulate the amount of braking. The holder can be made of wood, plastic or metal.
Two exemplary embodiments are shown in the accompanying drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a vertical section through a holder; Fig. 2 is a section on the line II-II of Fig. 1; Fig. 3 shows another holder in section.
On a base plate 1 two Trä ger 2, 3 are attached. A guide piece 5 is exchangeably arranged in a recess 4 in each carrier. Each guide piece has an inwardly projecting cone B. Between these cones, the roller 9 is mounted and clamped, on which the perforated paper tape is rolled up. By means of an adjusting screw 10, one of the guide pieces can be adjusted axially and thus the pressure under which the pipe is located can be increased.
The resistance to pulling off the tape 1 can be changed within wide limits by adjusting this screw. The guide piece is pressed more or less strongly against the roller and thus changes the friction.
The holder shown can take roles of different sizes on and brake. The carrier, as well as the base plate, could be made of metal, preferably sheet metal, the carriers being designed to be resilient and even being provided with the cones which must enter the role. By a screw, etc., which is passed through both support walls, the tension and pressure of the side walls, respectively. Cones against the paper roll can still be changed as desired.
Fig. 3 shows such an embodiment form in section. The braking force acting on the roll is adjusted so that the roll does not start running even with a strong pull at the free end of the tape, but rather that the front piece of paper tears along the perforation as soon as a certain length of paper has been unrolled.
