Verfahren zur Herstellung eines wasserlöslichen Nonoazofarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu wert vollen wasserlöslichen Monoazofarbstoffen gelangt, wenn man die Diazoverbindungen von Aminen der Benzolreihe, die mindestens einmal :
die Gruppe -CH, # .SO,H enthalten, mit 2-Amino-8-naphthol-6-sulfonsäure oder ihren N-alkyl- oder N-arylderivaten ver einigt.
Die erhaltenen Farbstoffe eignen sich ins besondere zum Färben von Leder in den ver- schiedensten Brauntönen. Sie zeichnen sich durch gutes Egallsiervermögen aus und be sitzen die wertvolle Eigenschaft, das Leder tief ein- bezw. durchzufärben.
Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines wasser löslichen Monoazofarbstoffes, welches Ja- durch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man @diazo- tierte 4 - Aminobenzylsulfonsäure mit 2 - Amino - 8 - naphthol- 6 -oulfonsäure in alkaIi- schem Medium vereinigt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 1-8,7 Gewichtsteile 4-Aminobenzylsulfon- säure (l@Zol.-Gew. 187) werden in 200 Volum- teilen Wasser mit 5,5 Gewichtsteilen cal:ci- niertem Natriumcarbonat :
gelöst. Diese Lö sung wird in 25 Volumteile 'Salzsäure von 20' Be gegossen und in Gegenwart von Eis m i *t 6,9 Gewichtsteilen T Natriumnitrit diazo- tiert. Die erhaltene Diazolösung fliesst hier auf bei 0 C in eine wässrige Lösung von 27,
5 Gewichtsteilen 2-amino-8-naphthol-6- sulfonsaurem Natrium (Mol.-Gew. 261) und 20 Gewichtsteilen caleiniertem Natriumcar- bonat. Nach beendeter Kupplung wird der Farbstoff auf übliche Weise isoliert und ge trocknet.
Er bildet ein braunes Pulver, :das sich in Wasser mit blaustichig rotbrauner Farbe löst und beispielsweise zum Färben von chromgarem Kalbleder geeignet ist.
