Fig. 1 ist ein Querschnitt durch die Wirkelemente einer Kettenwirkmaschine und die ihnen zugeordneten Teile; Fig.,2 ist ein der F'ig. 1 entsprechender Schnitt in einer andern Ebene;
Fig. 3 ist eine schaubildliche Ansicht einer Anzahl von Platinen in grösserem Massstabe; Fig. 4 zeigt im Schnitt die Schwingwelle, Platinen und Platinenbarre einer abgeänder ten Ausführungsform; Fig. 5 zeigt eine weitere abgeänderte Ausführungsform im Querschnitt;
F'ig.
Die Bewegung der Platinen 60 setzt sich aus folgenden Bewegungen zusammen: 1. aus der Bewegung, während der die Platinen in Berührung mit dem untersten einer Reihe von Schussfäden d gebracht wer den. Diese Bewegung erfolgt annähernd in Richtung der Vorwärtsbewegung der Wirk nadeln, d. h. von links nach rechts bei der Fig. 6;
Die Platinen be- schreiben also annähernd eine dreieckige Bahn.
Device for carrying the sinkers in Ilette knitting machines. The invention relates to a device for carrying the sinkers in Ièt- ten knitting machines.
In such machines, the blanks. long straight rows divided into a number of groups, each group embedded in a block. The blocks are attached to and out of a circuit board side by side. Lead or a fusible alloy made of metal. <RTI
ID = "0001.0021"> The circuit boards are embedded in these blocks by casting. The sinker bar usually consists of a rigid metal rail that extends across the width of the machine. She will; set in oscillating motion by an oscillating shaft, from which it is carried by arms.
The oscillating wave is in one. at a considerable distance from the center of the effective area, which is usually at least 20 cm: The arms are set to vibrate by lifting disks attached to the main shaft of the machine, which interact with, for example, attachments of these arms. In the known devices, the center of gravity of the blank bar is close to:
the boards. itself and has a relatively large distance from the axis around which: the oscillating movement is carried out, so that the straightness of the rows of blanks is dependent on the strength and rigidity of the blank bar. The blank bar does not only have:
a considerable distance from the axis of the: oscillating shaft, but it is also relatively heavy. Under these conditions, working speeds of 350 meshes per minute can be achieved; which was previously considered high for getten knitting machines; but they form a limit for considerably higher working speeds.
The disadvantage of the known devices, insofar as it relates to the high working speed, results from the necessary high moment of inertia of the rigid union of the parts carried by the oscillating shaft. The heavy masses of the bar, blocks and blanks contribute significantly to the high moment of inertia.
However, since the moment of inertia is proportional to the mass of the parts, but also proportional to the square of the swing radius, it follows that the relatively long radius of the swing movement of these parts in the known machines is the main reason for the high moment of inertia.
Another essential point is that the force that is communicated to the vibrating shaft and the parts that are vibrating with it while working increases approximately to the square of the speed. The force that can actually be applied is limited by various factors, the main ones being the weight of the parts, vibrations and the rigidity of the bar.
The purpose of the invention is to reduce the moment of inertia of the sinker support device by reducing the weight of the sinker bar and shortening the oscillation radii, so that the chain knitting machine can be operated at significantly higher speeds than before.
According to the invention, the oscillating shaft is rigid, while the sinker bar moved away from it is flexible and the radius with which the sinker bar oscillates is at most half as large as that of the edges of the sinkers.
The main mass is therefore concentrated in the fixedly mounted oscillating shaft, while the oscillating blank bar is designed to be flexible due to a reduction in cross-section and is provided with a small radius.
In one embodiment according to the invention, the center of gravity of the blank bar is at least as close to the oscillation axis as it is to the enclosing edge of the blanks, and the flexible sinker bar is stiffened by the rigid oscillating shaft via rigid connecting links.
whereby the connection points are distributed over the length of the platinum embar. As a result of the plurality of connecting arms, the straight alignment of the sinker bar is ensured, with these connecting arms only contributing insignificantly to increasing the inertia due to their radial arrangement.
An embodiment according to the invention also relates to the Tragein direction of blanks for machines for the incorporation of:
Weft threads (transverse folds) into the knitted fabric. In this case, the sinkers perform a movement made up of two different movements.
One consists of an oscillating movement of the sinker bar around an axis through which the connection with the oscillating shaft is established, and the other consists of an oscillating movement of the oscillating shaft itself, so that the mentioned pivoting connection is locally displaced.
The oscillating shaft is preferably carried by bearings which are arranged distributed over its entire length, so that the rigidity of the shaft is increased and the result is that the blank bar is sufficiently supported against deflection.
The blanks must move on an arc of a circle, the radius of which is in a ratio to the swing radius of the blank bar, which is much greater than with the known machines, for example greater than 2:
1, it is desirable to manufacture the bar carrying the circuit boards from a lightweight, moldable compound, for example an organic, castable material, such as synthetic resin, or a fusible material of light specific weight. However, with a support device,
in which the swing radius of the sinkers is considerably smaller than 12.5 cm, because of the small; Schwing radius produce the bar carrying the blanks from ordinary heavy material and still operate at very high speeds.
In the drawing, the object of the invention is shown in several execution examples.
Fig. 1 is a cross-section through the knitting elements of a warp knitting machine and their associated parts; Fig. 2 is one of Figs. 1 corresponding section in another plane;
Figure 3 is an enlarged perspective view of a number of sinkers; Fig. 4 shows in section the rocker shaft, sinkers and sinker bar of an altered embodiment; Fig. 5 shows a further modified embodiment in cross section;
F'ig. FIG. 6 is a plan view of the arrangement of FIG.
As: Figs. 1 and 2 show, the active elements consist of arcuate needles 10, with these cooperating sliding tongues 11 for knocking off the stitches, two rows of perforated needles 12, 13 and a row of sinkers: 14. The needles 10 and Schiehezungen 11! are set by Egzen ter on the shaft 24 in oscillating motion.
The upper and lower warp threads, which are passed through the needles 1, 2, 1, 3, are labeled a, b and result in knitted fabric c. Each of these elements represents one of a long, straight row, which are embedded in groups in holding blocks. The holding blocks are fastened side by side in the usual manner on a bar.
The circuit board holder 15 is attached to the circuit board bar 16 which, compared to the known designs, has a comparatively small cross section. The bar 1: 6 is supported by a number of short Ar rnen 17, which are fastened in short spaces on an oscillating shaft 18 of substantially circular cross-section be. The bar 16 lies almost at the eyes 17 'of the arms 17 and consequently very close to the shaft 18.
The holders 15 are relatively long and therefore made of light, organic, pourable material such as Bakelite. The arc y of the fig. Figure 2 roughly represents the path of the sinkers and has a radius, x, that is approximately 5 inches (f2; 5 cm) long. The swing radius of the sinker bar 16 is slightly less than .2 inches (5 cm).
The main mass of the sinker support device is formed by the sinker bar 16, the arms 17 and the oscillating shaft 18 and, due to the new arrangement, is concentrated in the shaft 18 itself, so that, the moment of inertia of the device itself in the worst case the ratio is very small.
It should be emphasized that the center of gravity of the entire oscillating device, which mainly consists of the plates 14, their holders 15 and the parts 116, 17 and 18, closer to the oscillating axis, the .the axis of the wave forms 1 $ than lies on the arc y, along which the edges are:
move the sinkers. As a result, the device can be made to oscillate at a very high speed.
The device for inducing the oscillating movement consists of a number of arms 19 which are fixed in gaps on the oscillating shaft 18 and are provided with rollers 20,
which interact with lifting disks. Each of the arms 19 is pulled by a spring 21 against one of a number of lifting disks 2i92 and is supported against a stationary stop 53, which is intended to prevent vibrations, except when the arm:
19 is lifted from the stop by the lifting disk 22. The hub discs 22 are attached to a shaft 24, which also carries the aforementioned eccentrics 25, 26, through which the needles 10 and sliding tongues 11 are set in oscillatory motion ver.
The rows of plates can be adjusted with respect to the center point of the active area in that the shaft 18 and its bearing arms are moved in the direction of and away from the active area by means of screws 28 which are threaded through on the upper part of the bearings 310:
the shaft 2.4 be strengthened eyes are passed. The arms 27 have parallel wedges or spring wedges 31, which can be moved in fixed guides 32 so that the arms 27 can be clamped in place by screws 3.3. The: screws 3 , 3 are passed through slots in the arms 27.
When the screws 33 are loosened, the sinker bar 1.6 can be easily adjusted with respect to the active area by the screws 28. The sinker bar 1 6 can also be angularly adjusted by loosening the nuts and rotating the shaft 1, 8 with respect to the arms 19. The bearing arms? 7 are arranged in short spaces over the length of the oscillating shaft 1.8.
As a result, the shaft is practically completely secured against deformation on foot.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 4, abge modified, it is mainly a question of the dimensions. The holders 15 are shorter than in the form of FIG. 1, specifically in such a way that the radius x of the circular arc y is approximately 3 inches (9 cm).
As a result, the center of gravity of the entire Schwingein direction is roughly as close to the axis. around which the oscillating movements are executed. this is the axis of the shaft 18, as for the circular arc y.
From a dynamic point of view, this construction is an improvement on the one shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, in which the swing radius of the entire swinging device is not so short, although, as already mentioned, the center of gravity of the device is closer to the axis around which the swinging movement takes place.
than lies to the edges of the sinker, which move along the circular arc y.
In the exemplary embodiments described, the drive device comprises hub disks with members which are held in engagement with one another by springs. Of course, other links, such as lifting disks and counter-holding disks, can also be used.
In the further embodiment shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the sinkers labeled 60 can feed weft threads of the goods into which they are to be incorporated.
For this purpose, the platinen is a compound movement he shares. The holding blocks are denoted by 61 and the board bar with 62. The latter is attached to a number of short arms 63 which are attached at intervals to a series of coaxial short auxiliary shafts 64.
These oscillate around their own axis and are locally displaced around the axis of a main oscillating shaft 65. The main shaft 9 is arranged in fixed bearings 66 which are arranged at short intervals along the shaft 65 > are arranged. The auxiliary shafts 6, 4 are carried by short arms 67 which are attached in pairs to the main oscillating shaft 65.
The shafts 64, 6.5 have arms 68, 69, which are attached to them and carry rollers 70, 71. These work together with two cam disks 72, 73, which are carried by a cam disk shaft 71 ge. The arms 68 form extensions of the aforementioned arms W. The rollers 70, 71 can be kept in contact with their lifting disks by springs or counter-lifting disks.
The movement of the sinkers 60 is made up of the following movements: 1. The movement during which the sinkers are brought into contact with the lowest of a row of weft threads d. This movement takes place approximately in the direction of the forward movement of the knitting needles, d. H. from left to right in FIG. 6;
\ ?. an approximately vertical downward movement, during which the weft thread is fed through the sinkers 60 to the goods to be manufactured and held by the sinkers, being trapped in the goods by the warp thread loops, and 3.
a more or less rectilinear movement directed to the top left in FIG. 6, as a result of which the plates return to their starting position. The boards thus describe an approximately triangular path.
The main oscillating shaft has a significant circular cross-section and mainly forms the rigid link of the device. The auxiliary shafts 64 and the blank bar are of a relatively small cross-section and close to the axis around which the oscillating movement takes place, namely the axis of the shaft 6,5,
arranged. As a result, the moment of inertia of the device is very small. The connecting links 64, 67, although they form a pivot connection, are nevertheless arranged close enough to each other and rigid enough to prevent the bending of the sinker bar 62 :.
The boards can be shaped as desired. In particular if the radius of the circular arc y on which the sinkers move is relatively short, the rule that may apply is that an enclosing edge, namely the gante 14 'in FIG. 6; of the sinkers, takes on the same shape as the path y, along which the gante moves.
