Closing cap for breech blocks on automatic firearms. The invention relates to a locking cap for locking housings on automatic firearms, in which, according to the invention, the locking cap held against axial displacement on the locking housing by thread-shaped grooves interrupted at the periphery is secured against unintentional rotation by a member coupled to the locking housing. This link coupled to the lock housing is preferably a sleeve-like part inserted into the bottom cap, which is connected to the lock housing by a bayonet lock and serves as an abutment for the rear end of the closing and striker spring.
In the drawing, the invention is shown in one embodiment.
Fig. 1 is a vertical longitudinal section through the rear end of a breech block of an automatic firearm; 2 shows a cross section through the closure cap; 3 is a view from the front of the rear end of the closure housing omitting the actual closure cap, and finally FIG. 4 is a plan view of the rear end of the closure housing, part of the closure cap being shown in vertical cross section.
The housing 1 has at its rear end comb-like or thread-like grooves 1a which are interrupted in the circumference. The closure cap 2 is attached to the end of the closure housing with corresponding, groove-like milled recesses 2a and cannot move in the longitudinal direction when it is screwed on. A sleeve-like part 3, which has a projection 3a on the periphery of the flange, which can engage in the groove 1b of the locking device by means of a bayonet lock, is mounted in this bottom cap 2.
The closing and impact spring 4, which is supported in the closure housing, is supported with its rear end

against the part 3, so that the pin-like projection 3a is always turned back into the groove 1b to maintain the bayonet lock, whereby the closure cap is secured against any rotation. A push button 5 is connected to part 3 by means of guide pin 6.
If the closure cap is to be removed from the closure housing, the push button 5 is pressed forwards, whereby the pin-like projection 3a protrudes from the groove 1b of the closure housing. By turning the closure cap and the counter-pressure of the closing and impact spring 4, the pin 3a comes into the recess of this groove 1b, so that the cap can be removed from the closure housing. The closing cap is replaced in the opposite way and with the opposite rotation of the closing cap.
This embodiment has the advantage that the closure housing closure is simple and easy to handle. Another advantage of the invention is that the actual locking cap can be made completely round in shape and without a protrusion, which makes it possible to easily remove the locking parts backwards from the weapon in automatic firearms with a stop shaft without the locking housing being removed from the weapon beforehand Shaft needs to be separated or tilted.
