Rundschleifmaschine.
Cylindrical grinding machine. The subject of the invention is a cylindrical grinding machine. The same is characterized by the fact that several grinding wheels are provided, which automatically come into action on you rotatable work piece. These different disks can process the same area one after the other, whereby the first disk can have a somewhat coarser grain size than the next, or it can also be identical disks, which are axially shifted against each other and each have a deeper layer of the workpiece take away.
The number of slices is theoretically unlimited. In practice, of course, you are bound by certain limits.
An example embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown purely schematically on the accompanying drawing. All setting options for the -, slide and their stops are missing on this drawing.
These details, as well as the actuation means of all slides carrying the panes, are considered to be those that are analogous to those that occur in automatic machines.
assumed to be known. They have as little to do with the invention as the ee hen or electrical elements that actuate the slide carrying the work piece.
m 'haniee So cam disks, gears, hydraulic and electrical devices and the like can only be used to achieve these different movements. Depending on how one has to do with one or the other system, one will also apply the associated tax means.
The machine shown has three chutes a movable on a base, not shown, in the direction of the arrows, on which grinding disks b ', bz, b3 are rotatable and driven independently of one another. These different disks can therefore have very different numbers of revolutions from one another.
The diameters could also instead be the same. If, for example, the disks have different grain sizes, which become finer from disk b 'to disk b', the ratio of the number of revolutions, of 'disk b' and disk b3, which can consist of an oil stone or the like, can be 1 : Be 2. Then the number of gates on disk b2 is roughly in the middle of the other two.
The carriages a automatically perform reciprocating movements in the direction of the arrows A shown and this under the influence of cams (not shown) which are wedged onto a camshaft (not shown) that controls all movements of the machine.
On the same frame, another slide c, perpendicular to the rest, is set up movable Lich. It can slide on a backdrop, not shown, and carries the workpiece carrier d. The latter can be pivoted on the slide c about the bolt e and a spring, not shown, is provided which seeks to move the slide always against an adjustable stop f. The workpiece is rotatably mounted between centers.
Means, not shown, connect the workpiece carrier d to a cam .der camshaft, which at certain times pivots the workpiece carrier d around the bolt e, until a second stop f 'is reached. Then the tool carrier is at an angle to the direction of movement of the slide c and thus the workpiece carrier, and conical surfaces can be processed. It is clear that by reversing the pivoting movement, it is also possible to machine the right: conical surfaces with decreasing diameter.
The machine shown works as follows: The carriage c is first placed on the far right and the cylindrical surface x of the workpiece is attacked by the disc b '. For this purpose, when the workpiece is stationary but rotating in the axial direction, the disk b 'has performed a back and forth movement along the cylindrical part of the workpiece during the grinding process, whereby it is moved towards the workpiece.
If this is the case, the slide c of the workpiece holder is moved one step forward in the longitudinal direction and the workpiece together with the carrier is pivoted around the bolt e against the stop f '. Then, with the slide c stationary, the outer surface y of the thick work is attacked by the disk b2, which also moves back and forth.
Once this has happened, the slide c slides a little further and the workpiece holder comes to rest in front of the disc b with the finest grain size. This disc processes the surfaces <I> x </I> and <I> y </I> one after the other, namely surface y, after the tool holder has been tilted and the slide c has been adjusted accordingly.
The tool carrier comes back afterwards and you can clamp a fresh workpiece and give it the same treatment. The order of attacks and disk usage may be different. 'She is. a matter of the control device that has to be adapted to the workpiece and the surfaces to be processed on it.
It is also possible to provide the machine in such a way that the .Schlitten a do not carry out any movements along the workpiece. In this case you will use a disc b 'which is wide enough to machine the entire length of the cylindrical shell to be machined: the part x at once, slowly moving the carriage a of the disc b' by the desired amount against the axis of rotation of the workpiece.
Once this has happened, this slide a goes back, the tool holder d is tilted and the surface y is attacked. The same game is repeated, see for disks b2 and b '.
Using similar means, a machine according to the invention is also conceivable in which, with the workpiece stationary in the axial direction, the grinding wheels would not only perform movements perpendicular to their axis, but also parallel to their axis, in order to move in front of the respective 14iantel areas of the plant to be processed piece to be brought. The controls of the camshaft would then again act in a known manner on the slides of the grinding wheels. Of course, these carriages could also be set at an angle in order to grind conical outer surfaces. to grind.
