Aiming circle for Steepfeser guns, especially drop-downs. The present invention relates to a directional circle for high-speed guns, in particular for mine throwers.
In the drawing is an embodiment example of the subject invention provides Darge.
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section; Fig. 2 shows a partial side view, partly also in section.
The straightening circle has a point, preferably a triangular point 1, on which a clamping screw 2 is seated, around the axis of which the overlying part can be pivoted and clamped in any position. Above that, a partial circular plate 3 is rotatably but locked, and a ring with rear sight 4 and front sight 5 is rotatably mounted around it. The pitch circle plate 3 can be fixed in its position with respect to the side by means of a clamping screw 6. On the threaded extension 7 of the plate 3, a nut 8 is applied, on which the rear sight and front sight bearing part is supported by a spring 9.
A spring clip 10 is attached to the tip 1, by means of which the straightening circle can be attached to an straightening rod according to patent no.
The described directional circle is attached for use with the tip 1 in the ground, in tree stumps or by means of the bracket 10 on an alignment rod. The pitch circle plate 3 can be secured by screws 2 and 6 in any position. This makes it possible to aim at every point using the rear sight 4 and front sight 5. The circular plate is divided into 6400 parts on the circumference, for example. After aiming at the targets, the numbers can be read off and the guns can easily be informed, whereupon they can adjust to the axis of the aiming circle - they are then parallel to the target direction.
It - is of course possible to replace the sighting device 4, 5 by any known sighting device. It can also be arranged serwaage on the pitch circle plate. The described circle avoids the disadvantages of the previously known directional circles. These latter are expensive and cumbersome precision instruments that are very delicate and cannot be easily operated by everyone. The directional circle described can be used without a tripod, in contrast to the known constructions mentioned.
