Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     PolymethinfarbstofPes.       In der Hauptanmeldung ist ein Verfah  ren zur Herstellung eines neuen     Polymethin-          farbstoffes    beschrieben, bei dem man     1,3,3-          Trimethyl-2-methylenindolin-co-aldehyd    in  Gegenwart eines sauren Kondensationsmittels  mit     p-Phenylendiamin    umsetzt.  



  Es wurde nun gefunden, dass     tnan    eben  falls einen neuen wertvollen     Polymethinfarb-          stoff    erhält, wenn man     1,3,3-Trimethyl-2-          methylenindolin-co-aldehyd    in Gegenwart  eines sauren Kondensationsmittels mit     p-          Phenetidin    umsetzt.  



  Der neue Farbstoff ähnelt den basischen       Triphenylmethanfarbstoffen    der     Auraminreihe.     Er ist gut wasserlöslich und zeichnet sich  durch ausgezeichnete Klarheit und sehr gute  Lichtechtheit seiner Färbungen aus. Durch       Sulfonierung    kann man den     Farbstoff    in  einen wertvollen sauren Farbstoff überführen.    21 Teilen     1,3,3-Trimethyl-2-methylenicidolin-          o)-aldehyd    versetzt und     '/s    Stunde lang auf  <B>950</B> C erwärmt. Der nach dem Erkalten der  Lösung auskristallisierte     Farbstoff    wird ab  gesaugt, mit wenig Wasser gewaschen und  getrocknet.

   Er färbt tannierte Baumwolle  in reinen grüngelben Tönen von guter     Licht-          echtbeit.

  The new dye is similar to the basic triphenylmethane dyes of the auramine series. It is readily soluble in water and its dyeings are characterized by excellent clarity and very good lightfastness. The dye can be converted into a valuable acidic dye by sulfonation. 21 parts of 1,3,3-trimethyl-2-methylenicidolin- o) -aldehyde are added and the mixture is heated to 950 ° C. for an hour. The dye which crystallizes out after the solution has cooled is filtered off with suction, washed with a little water and dried.

   It dyes tannic cotton in pure green-yellow tones with good light-fastness.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Polyme- thinfarbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 1,3,3-Trimethyl-2-metbylenindolin-cu- aldehyd in Gegenwart eines sauren Konden sationsmittels mit p-Phenetidin umsetzt. Der neue Farbstoff ist gut wasserlöslich. Er färbt tannierte Baumwolle in reinen grün gelben Tönen von guter Lichtechtheit. Durch Sulfonierung kann man ihn in einen wert vollen sauren Farbstoff überführen.
