Oxygen breathing apparatus with warning device. When using oxygen breathing apparatus, it is possible that the rescue worker forgets to open the oxygen supply bottle. This oversight can seriously endanger the rescue worker, possibly even cause his death, because after a very short time he will be given nitrogen anesthesia if the bottle is not opened.
In order to protect the rescue worker from these accidents, a device has become known; in which a shut-off valve is switched on in the breathing circuit, which closes the breathing line of the device as long as the oxygen supply bottle is closed. When you open the oxygen supply bottle, it opens; Valve in the breathing circuit and releases the airway.
It has also been proposed to equip the valve closing the breathing circuit with a whistle, so that when the device is breathed with the oxygen bottle closed, a small amount of fragrance can go through the whistle, which makes it sound. With this known device it is to be regarded as disadvantageous that the rescue man finds a very high, almost insurmountable breathing resistance when the bottle is closed.
If the device is put on on site, ie immediately in front of the danger zone, he can be startled by this sudden breathing resistance and in this state he can take careless actions, such as taking off his mask or other similar things.
The subject of the invention forms an oxygen breathing apparatus with a warning signal device, which can sound an acoustic signal when the oxygen bottle is closed.
The disadvantage described above is eliminated according to the invention in that the breathing line of the device is equipped with a re-connecting branch in front of the warning signal device. The branch is provided with a control flap which, when the oxygen bottle is closed, closes the branch used for breathing and opens the other branch. holds, are arranged in the sound generator, the whole of the kind that the breathing resistance in the device is only slightly increased.
The device can be designed in such a way that the control flap is actuated, for example, by the medium pressure of the pressure reducing valve by means of a diaphragm box. Instead of a pipe bifurcation in the breathing line, a pipe can also be used which is divided by a longitudinal partition.
In the accompanying drawing, the subject of the invention is shown in two embodiments.
In Fig. 1, 1 is the exhaust line of an oxygen breathing apparatus. This line forks into branches 2 and 3, which reunite at 4. At the bifurcation point of the line, the control flap 5 is ge superimposed, which is via an angle lever 6 with a pressure pin 7 in connection. which is loaded with a compression spring ss.
This pressure bolt is actuated by a membrane 1.0 lying in the myebral disease 9 when a pressure occurs in the line 11, which is connected to the finite pressure away from the device. As long as the oxygen supply bottle is closed, the membrane 10 is unloaded on its right side. The spring 8 acts on the bolt 7 and the lever :) in such a way that the control flap 5 closes the branch line 2 and opens the branch line '.i.
The branch line 3 contains an Al> - closing wall 1.2, on which several sound generators, z. B. pipes 13 are arranged. The exhaled air passes through the pipes in its full strength, unhindered, and makes them sound. As soon as the oxygen bottle is opened, the membrane 10 is loaded from the right. She pushes: the bolt 7 against your pressure of the spring 8 in front of her and thereby actuates the angle lever 6, whereby the line 3 is closed, but the line? is opened.
In FIGS. 2 and 3, 1 is the exhalation line which is divided into branches 2 and 3 by the longitudinal intermediate wall 14. is. The branches 2 and 3 reunite at 4. At the beginning of the partition 14 is the control flap 5, which is in connec tion with the mem brane 10 via a twisted square rod 15 with a head and a spring 16. When the pressure path 1.1 is unloaded, the spring 16 places the flap in front of branch 2.
As soon as pressure occurs in the diaphragm socket 9, it acts on the diaphragm 10, pushes the bolt 7 in front of it and turns the flap around by means of the twisted square bar 15 so that the branch 2 is now free. The tone generators 13 located in the branch and located on the end wall 12 thus only sound when the bottle is being chatting as long as the bottle is not opened. Instead of several whistles, other sound generators that offer considerable resistance to the air flow can be used, e.g. B.
Siren wheels.
The oxygen breathing apparatus described with a warning signal device has, inter alia, the advantage that such a resistance in the breathing line which could frighten the rescue worker is avoided. Because the entire breath flow can operate the sound generator, an automatic signal of great strength is generated,
which cannot be overheard even with strong noise.
