Die Fig. 1, 2 und 3 beziehen sich auf eine Viertaktbrennkra.ftmaischine mit einem Ein lass- und einem Auslassventil im Zylinder: Fig. 3 zeigt einen Schnitt nach der Linie I-1 in Fig. 2 und Fig. 4. sowie Fig. 5 und (@ stellen zwei weitere Maschinen, ebenfalls mit einem Ein- und einem Auslassventil im Zy linder dar;
Die Fig. 7, 8 und 9 beziehen sich hin gegen auf eine Maschine, in deren Brenn- kraftzylinde r zwei Einlass:- und zwei Auislass- ventile vorhanden :sind; die Fig. 8 und 9 zeigen Schnitte nach den Linien II-II bezv. III III in Fig. 7;

Converting the combustion chamber that is not affected by the rotary movement in the main combustion chamber can be fed with fuel gas through special, appropriately small antechamber openings.
In the accompanying drawing, some four-stroke machines are shown as exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention. However, the invention can also be used in two-stroke machines provided with valves.
1, 2 and 3 relate to a four-stroke combustion engine with an inlet valve and an outlet valve in the cylinder: FIG. 3 shows a section along the line I-1 in FIGS. 2 and 4 and FIG. 5 and (@ represent two other machines, also with an inlet and an outlet valve in the cylinder;
FIG. 6 shows a section along the line IV-IV in FIG. 5.
7, 8 and 9 relate in contrast to a machine in whose internal combustion cylinder r two inlet and two outlet valves are present; 8 and 9 show sections along the lines II-II bezv. III III in Fig. 7;
Fig. 10 shows a detail of another machine of this type.
In Figures 1 to 3, 1 is the cylinder,? the base plate and 3 the insert cylinder of the internal combustion engine. 4 is the piston and 5 is the shoe bar, by means of which the movement of the piston 4 is transmitted to the crankshaft 6.
7 is the cylinder cover in which the prechamber 8, which is small compared to the totality of the combustion chambers in the cylinder, is arranged eccentrically to the cylinder axis.
In this prechamber 8 liquid fuel is injected from the fuel pump 10 through a nozzle 9. 12 is the piston of the fuel pump, which is actuated by the fuel cam 14 of the control shaft 11 through the intermediary of the lever 13. 15 is the regulating device for the fuel pump. In the relatively thin-walled bottom 16 of the antechamber 8 narrow openings 17 Publ are arranged.
18 is an inlet valve which is actuated by the cam 2 @ 1 of the control shaft by means of the lever 19 and the rod 20. A very similar control is provided for the outlet valve 30.
In the piston head 31 are: the valves 1, 8 and 30 arranged opposite round recesses 24 and 25, the diameter of which is approximately: greater than that of the valve disk. These form the main combustion chambers 22 and \? 3, are in the compression:
Tungstotpunktlage of the piston 4 with the prechamber openings 17 through provided recesses in the piston head ge ringerer depth connected and form with. them together a recess of heart-shaped outline in the piston crown.
The remaining parts of the piston crown. are arranged as close as possible to the cylinder loden in the sealed position. so that apart from the spaces mentioned, there are no other spaces between the piston and the cylinder base.
In the compression dead center position, the fuel gas mixture winds out of the antechamber 8 through the openings 17 in two jets 26 and 27 into the two main combustion chambers: 2 ? and 2:
3 blown in. These openings 17 are arranged and directed in such a way that the two fuel gas jets open tangentially into the main combustion chambers 22 and 23 on the outer side, so that a rotary movement in the main combustion chambers:
in the direction of arrows 28 and 2'.9 occurs in such a way that the movements in the two main combustion chambers are directed towards one another on the wall opposite the antechamber.
According to FIG. 4, the antechamber openings 1 7 are arranged in this way. and directed that the fuel gas jets 20 and 27 from the antechamber 8 diireh () openings 17 on the inner side of the two recesses 24 and? 5 between:
the inlet and outlet valves 18 respectively. 30 open tangentially into the main combustion chambers, so that there is again a rotary movement there, in such a way that the movements in the main combustion chambers 2 2 and 2'3: are directed towards one another on the wall opposite the antechamber.
Further small antechamber openings 36 are arranged so that the Bennraumstellen, which are not touched by the rotary movement in the main combustion chambers, are charged with fuel. It is about rooms in the vicinity of the antechamber B.
According to the Figs. 5 and 6 are the outlet openings 17 in the antechamber 8, at least partially on the bottom 16 of the antechamber 8. The direction of injection of the fuel gas mixture, as is therefore more against:
the piston crown. Accordingly, the cavity in the piston head near the outlet openings 17 at 37 is shaped so that it absorbs the fuel gas jets emerging from the openings 17 and transfers them into the main burner spaces 22 and 23 located opposite the valves.
At, the .in. Prop. 7 to 9, two inlet valves 18 and two outlet valves 30 are provided in the cylinder. In the piston bottom opposite each valve there is a recess 22 or 23, which forms a main combustion chamber.
In the front chamber 8, four outlet openings 17 are arranged and directed in such a way that a tangential jet of fuel gas is introduced into each main combustion chamber in such a way that a rapid movement occurs there,
which has the same direction of rotation in all main combustion chambers. The openings 17 could also be arranged in such a way that the rotary movements in the main combustion chambers 22 and 23 are from different directions.
Or it could also be arranged in the antechamber, as shown in Fig. 10 is, only two openings 17, and each fuel: drip jet 26 respectively. 27 could each have two. Main breeding rooms, for example 212 and 23 with fuel.
The invention enables in the im. Piston ben deepened arranged main combustion chambers - to achieve a good fuel distribution., Which favors the combustion. Apart from the small combustion that occurs in the antechamber to generate the E.inblaseddruckmättels, the combustion of the BTenusto takes place:
ffes in several main combustion chambers, which are small compared to the cylinder chamber. The main combustion chambers located opposite the valves in the piston, when the piston is in its end dead center position, ensure that:
the valves can be relatively open. This is particularly important in four-stroke machines in which the combustion chamber is flushed out by the incoming load.
