Firing device on boilers especially designed for firing with wood or other gas-rich fuels. The invention relates to a firing device on boilers which are intended in particular for firing with wood or other gas-rich fuels, such as peat, and which are provided with a firing shaft, however.
the lower part is a supply opening for combustion air angeord net, and the bottom through a grate for the; Fuel is limited, on which an outflow opening for the combustion gases is arranged, which leads to a post-combustion area arranged under the grate.
The purpose of the invention is to create a firing device on boilers of the type mentioned, in which the construction is simplified and the efficiency is increased.
According to the invention, the supply openings for the combustion air and the outflow opening for the combustion gases are arranged on diametrically opposite sides of the fuel shaft. The firing device is illustrated in the drawings by an exemplary embodiment.
Fig. 1 is a vertical section through a hot water boiler; Fig. 2 is a horizontal section through the boiler along the line II-II of Fig. 1; 3 is a vertical section perpendicular to the section according to FIG. 1 and FIG. 4 is a section along the line IV-IV of FIG. 1 through a detail of the firing device on a larger scale.
The firing shaft 1 .of the boiler is in front by a water jacket, which forms the front 2 of the boiler, further on the sides of water jackets 3, 4 and towards; th of a likewise arranged in the form of a sermantels wall 6 limited.
At the top of the firing shaft there is an opening which can be closed by a flap 7 for introducing the fuel into the shaft. At the bottom of the front wall 2 there is a wide air supply opening 8 with a draft control flap 9.
The Feue- rungs.schacht is limited at the bottom by a grate 10 made of refractory material for the fuel, which extends from .dem lower edge of the air supply opening 8 to the vicinity of a wall 11 made of refractory material, which is an extension of the wall 6 downwards forms.
Between this wall 11 and the grate 10 there is an opening 12 through which the combustion gases flowing down from the firing shaft are guided from the firing shaft into a post-combustion space 13 located under the grate. At the edge of the grate 10, a pipe 14 is brought out at the outflow opening 12, which is provided with openings 15 opening into the outflow opening 12, which guide the secondary air of the combustion gases.
From .dem lower edge of the wall 11 it stretches towards the front wound of the boiler an approximately horizontally mounted partition wall 16 in the post-combustion chamber 13, which forces the combustion gases to coat the underside of the grate 10 7u, before they flow into the lower part of a smoke channel 25 located between the walls @ 6, 11 and the rear wall of the boiler, in the upper part of which a smoke gas outlet 216 is arranged.
The walls 2, 3, 4 of the furnace shaft are immediately above: the grate surface 10 on the inside with a covering made of a suitable refractory material.
On the inside of the walls 3, 4, strips 18, directed obliquely downward, are welded over the cladding 17, which prevent the condensate, which has long been running down the walls, from penetrating between the cladding and the walls. The strips 18 guide the condensate that forms on the walls to the inside of the clothing 17, where it is burned or evaporated. In a similar way, the walls of the exhaust gas duct 25 are provided at the bottom with a fire-resistant cladding 2-0, which is covered at the top by strips 21 welded to the walls.
Tests have shown that with boilers built according to the invention, even with moist and in other respects inferior fuel, a widely adjustable fire can be kept in the combustion zone, which is located in the area directly above the grate 10 between the air supply opening 8 and outflow opening 12 is restricted.
