Description
Kabelschuh.
Cable lug. The invention relates to a cable lug with a sleeve with a narrowing internal thread which is intended to be wound onto a cable end.
The sleeve can be provided with one or more, through its wall through clamping screws to secure them on the cable end can.
For the purpose of explaining an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, reference is made to the drawing, which shows the longitudinal section of a cable shoe screwed onto a bare cable end in FIG. 1 and the corresponding side view in FIG.
The cable lug has a closed sleeve 1 on the circumference, which is made of brass, for example, and is provided with a connecting eyelet 2 at one end. The bore of the sleeve narrows inwards from the end opposite the eyelet 2 and is provided with an internal thread.
The bare cable end screwed to the cable lug is indicated by 4. A clamping screw 5 passing through the sleeve wall serves to secure the cable end in the shoe. But it can also be dispensed with.
At her with the attachment approach, z. B. an eyelet, provided end, the sleeve can be either closed or open.
Since the bore of the sleeve narrows inwards from the entry end, the more the bare cable end is pressed together the deeper it is screwed into the cable lug.
It is not necessary for the narrowing of the threaded hole to extend over the entire length of the thread. The inlet end of the bore can also be cylindrical. Furthermore, the rear end of the hole for receiving the part of the cable end which has already been compressed in the narrowing sleeve part can also be cylindrical.
These cylindrical parts in the bore can optionally be smooth-walled. The inner wall of the sleeve can have one or more longitudinal grooves where it is threaded, which serve to
remove the metal dust generated when screwing the cable lug to the cable end. In this version, the cable lug acts more or less like a thread cutting device when screwed onto the cable end.
As can be seen from the above, the described cable lug can be attached quickly and reliably to one end of the cable.
