  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines zur Schädlingsbekämpfung  verwendbaren     Koudensationsproduktes.       Es wurde gefunden, dass durch Konden  sation von     Benzaldehyd    - o -     sulfonsäure    mit       p-Chlorbenzylmereaptan    in Gegenwart saurer       Kondensationsmittel        :

  das    wasserlösliche, be  ständige     4,4'-        Dichlorbenzylmercaptal    der       Benzaldehyd-o-sulfonsäure    erhalten werden  kann, welche     Verbindung    hervorragend zur  Verwendung als     Schädlingsbekämpfungsmit-          tel,        insbesondere    zum     Immunisieren    gegen  Kleidermotten geeignet ist. Das neue Kon  densationsprodukt stellt nach dem Trocknen  und Mahlen ein helles Pulver dar,     -das    in  Wasser gut löslich     ist    und     schwerlösliche     Blei- und     Eisensalze    bildet.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>       Mol.        Benza.ldehyd-o-sulfonsäure    und       2/@o        Mol.        p-Chlorbenzylniercaptan    werden     in     50 cm' Eisessig gelöst und die Lösung mit       Salzsäuregas    gesättigt.

   Nachdem das Reak  tionsgemisch 15 Stunden bei gewöhnlicher  Temperatur gestanden hat, wird es in     300     Teile Wasser von<B>5,0'</B>     eingerührt.
