Konservierungsbottich.
Preservation vat. Up to now, for the preservation of meat, beans, sauerkraut and the like, insofar as vessels made of wood are considered, vats have been used which have a conical shape on the outside and inside. The goods mentioned must be locked in the container with a lid to prevent air from entering and weighted down. As a result of the inner conical shape of the tub, the lid, which is calculated for the smallest diameter, does not seal in all positions when the tub is filled with different heights, so that the part of the goods placed open between the wall and the lid likes to be starts to rot. As a result, not only is part of it lost, but the rest of the taste and aroma are also lost.
Tubes of cylindrical design on the inside and outside have the disadvantage that the conventional, riveted tires cannot be used due to the lack of a suit on the vessel. Tires with screw locks are expensive and tend to rust in the lock. The lock itself forms a dirt corner and is often annoying because it protrudes from the wall.
The above-mentioned inconveniences are remedied in the tub according to the present invention in that the wedge-shaped downwardly thickened staves are perpendicular to the bottom of the tub with their inner surfaces and thus an interior with the same cross-section from bottom to top and one downwards Form widening conical outer surface. The tub can expediently have a square, oval, round or rectangular basic shape. In the case of a tub with an interior designed in this way, the lid completely covers the insert at all times and protects it from the ingress of air. There is therefore no putrefaction and no spoilage of the property.
Furthermore, the individual staves can easily be held together by simply riveted hoops attached to the conical outer surface. The tires cannot fall off either. The bottom section of the vat, which is reinforced towards the bottom, gives the whole vessel increased resistance to impacts and decay. The whole vat is therefore durable and also has good stability.
In the drawing, some exemplary embodiments of the subject invention are shown, namely Fig. 1 shows the view of a tub in section, Figs. 2 and 3 show the top view of a circular and an approximately quadra tables tub.
The staves 1 are wedge-shaped and their inner surfaces are perpendicular to the floor 2. The tires 3 hold the bot tich together and can be conveniently tightened on the outer surface of the tub, which becomes conical downwards. In the tub itself is the lid 4, which closes the tub at any level, regardless of the size of the filling. In this way, the insert is protected against the ingress of air at all times and no rot can occur.
