Medical mattress with tiloset opening designed for frail, incontinent people. Berths with toilet openings, especially insane for weak, incontinent people, are known especially in hospitals. They are characterized by a complicated construction that requires a high purchase price, so that in most cases they are not purchased.
The subject of the present invention now relates to a medical mattress with a toilet opening intended for frail, incontinent persons, which can be purchased by almost anyone without structural changes to bedsteads, deck chairs, etc. having to be made and without the usual measure to go off the contents.
This is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the accompanying drawing, namely: FIG. 1 a diagrammatic representation of the medical mattress with the mattress section pulled out to the side, FIG. 2 a top view of the same with a slid and fixed mattress section, FIGS 4 additional mattress sections.
The medical mattress shown has a rubber 1-coated middle part 2, and the rest of the mattress part 3 has a fabric, for example Drilch. A commercially known filling material such as horsehair, sea grass and the like can be provided as the filling.
The middle section 2 now has a toilet opening 4. This is located at least approximately in the longitudinal center of the mattress and extends from one longitudinal side 5 to the center of the width of the mattress; it is open on the long side. It is trough-shaped.
In addition to the introduction opening 6 are mutually buckled respectively on the longitudinal side 5 of the A-mattress. Attached via the opening 6 tensionable belt 7 of a belt pair. A mattress section 8 can be pushed into and out of the toilet opening 4, at least partially filling it, from the longitudinal side 5. The section 8 has a loop 9 that is used as a hand and sits on the outer end face 10.
The end face directed towards the inner mattress is semicircular and forms there with the still free toilet opening a space 11 intended for the toilet receptacle, which is closed everywhere on the side, which receptacle (not shown) with the mattress section 8 extended: laterally through the opening 6 can be pushed into the toilet opening 4 without having to lift the patient.
The inserted mattress section 8 is fixed in its position by the straps 7 which are fastened to one another and which are pulled over or through the loop 9. A further, cylindrically shaped mattress section 1.2 can be provided, which can be pushed into the toilet opening 4 from the side when the mattress section 8 is pulled out and the vessel is removed,
whereupon the mattress section 8 is subsequently introduced. The two mattress sections 8 and 12 fill the toilet opening 4 completely, and their support surfaces are flush with those of the mattress, so that an uninterrupted mattress support surface is available. The mattress sections 8 and 12 are covered with rubber.
A mattress section 13 according to FIG. 4 can also be provided which, pushed laterally into the toilet opening 4, completely fills it.
Of course, the shape of the toilet opening can be designed as desired. As a result of the simple design of the medical mattress described, existing mattresses can possibly be reworked into the described medical mattress. It is suitable for lying as well as sitting.
