Waschmaschine.
Fig. 2 zeigt einen abgeändertenAntrieb mittels Elek- tromotor.
Washing machine. The invention relates to a washing machine with a cooking vessel designed as a rotating body and a stirrer moved along the inner surface of this vessel. According to the invention, this stirrer is designed as a flat ring which can be rotated around a horizontal axis in its full circumference, the inner edge of which is intended, which lies towards the axis of rotation.
This achieves the following advantages. When turning the stirrer, its lower half takes the laundry shovel-like in front of it upwards and lifts it up over the axis of rotation. The corrugated inner edge makes lifting the laundry easier. Once at the top, the laundry slips over the wide area of the ring, the slipping being delayed by the corrugated inner edge of the ring. When the laundry rubs against the surface of the ring when it slides off, the laundry is washed out. Since there is steam in the upper part of the container, the laundry is rinsed with steam as it slides off , which significantly promotes cleaning.
This cleaning can, if necessary, be supported by the fact that the ring is covered with brushes that work on the laundry when it slips off the ring.
This type of watering is extremely gentle on the laundry. Even highly sensitive and easily damaged fabrics can therefore be washed in this machine.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter 2 of the invention is shown in cross section in FIG. 1. Fig. 2 shows a modified drive by means of an electric motor.
A is a washing vessel of spherical shape, closed at the top by a lid b, in which the lye and the laundry to be cleaned are accommodated. The cooking vessel a is surrounded by a cylindrical jacket c provided with feet, in the lower part of which the furnace d is arranged, which depending as required, a grate furnace or a gas furnace can be. An electrical heating device can also be provided instead of a furnace.
In the cooking vessel, an annular body f is rotatably arranged around horizontally lying pegs e, which extends close to the wall of the vessel and can be g </ B> or an electric motor r (Fig. 2) can be set in slow rotation. The ring is here to reduce the resistance to movement with holes h see ver.
In addition, its inner edge is somewhat wavy and rounded at the edges, so that it takes the laundry upwards when it rotates and lifts it up in the container until it slides off the ring and falls back into the lye. The laundry can therefore not clump together, always keeps moving and is rinsed vigorously by the lye when it falls. It is therefore cleaned quickly so completely that washing by hand is no longer necessary.
The design of the agitator as a ring, in contrast to other known agitators, also allows the washing of curtains and other easily damaged fabrics, since the ring has no sharp edges and, due to its nature, a tearing effect cannot occur.
The ring can also, as FIG. 2 shows, be fitted with brushes q which process the laundry when it slips off the ring. This additional device will advantageously be used when washing less delicate and very dirty laundry.
The holes arranged in the ring h not only reduce the resistance to movement of the ring, but also bring the lye into foaming, so that the dirt parts are better absorbed by it.
The bottom of the kettle a, which is touched by the flames, is pressed out at the bottom and forms a trough i, which is covered by a perforated sheet k adapted to the inner surface of the ball.
In this way the laundry cannot be burned. To the hollow. i is followed by a spout m that can be closed by a tap 1 .
Since the cooking vessel is closed by the lid b , little firing material is required, especially since the heat generated is in the space p </ B enclosed by the jacket o > is held together and can therefore be transferred to the cooking vessel barrel without significant loss.
At the top of the container there is a piping valve n that indicates the start of the cooking process. Appropriately, a collecting rim o is attached to the joint between the lower and upper part of the vessel.
Of course, the cooking vessel can also be designed as a special insert that can be built into other known washing containers.
