Description
Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 188891. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines indigoiden Farbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass ein indigoider Küpenfarbstoff hergestellt werden kann, wenn man chloriertes 5-Methoxyäthoxyisatin, das durch Behandlung von 5-Methoxyäthoxyisatin mit chlorierenden Mitteln erhalten wurde und zwei Atome Chlor enthält, in Form seines Alpha-Chlorids mit 4-Methoxy-l-oxy- naphthalin kondensiert.
Der erhaltene Farbstoff stellt ein blau gefärbtes Pulver dar, das sich in konzen trierter Schwefelsäure mit grüner Farbe löst. Er kristallisiert aus Chlorbenzol in blauen Nadeln vom Smp. 256 und färbt Baumwolle aus gelber Küpe in echten und reinen grün blauen Tönen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 290 Teile chloriertes 5-Methoxyäthoxy- isatin, das durch Behandlung von 5-Methoxy- äthoxyisatin mit Sulfurylchlorid erhalten wurde und zwei Atome Chlor enthält, werden in üblicher Weise in das 2-Chlorid überge führt und bei 40-50 mit 174 Teilen 4 Methoxy-l-oxynaphthalin in 13000 Teilen Chlorbenzol verrührt. Nach beendeter Kon densation wird der Farbstoff filtriert, ge waschen und getrocknet.

It has been found that an indigoid vat dye can be produced if chlorinated 5-methoxyethoxyisatin, which was obtained by treating 5-methoxyethoxyisatin with chlorinating agents and contains two atoms of chlorine, in the form of its alpha chloride with 4-methoxy-l- oxynaphthalene condensed.
The dye obtained is a blue colored powder which dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a green color. It crystallizes from chlorobenzene in blue needles with a melting point of 256 and dyes cotton from a yellow vat in real and pure green-blue tones.
<I> Example: </I> 290 parts of chlorinated 5-methoxyethoxyisatin, which was obtained by treating 5-methoxyethoxyisatin with sulfuryl chloride and contains two atoms of chlorine, are converted into the 2-chloride in the usual way and with 40-50 stirred with 174 parts of 4 methoxy-l-oxynaphthalene in 13,000 parts of chlorobenzene. When the condensation has ended, the dye is filtered, washed and dried.
