Um auch Wasser niedrigerer Temperatur zapfen zu können, ist ebenso wie beim Er hitzer, gemäss Fig. 1 eine Einstellvorrichtung 26' vorgesehen, die als Kahm ausgebildet ist und mittels eines Handgriffes 3-4 betätigt werden kann, der zweckmässig mit einer Temperaturskala oder mit der Bezeichnung "Siedend", "H,eiss";
Liquid heater for generating boiling water. The invention relates to the known liquid heater for the production of boiling water, in which the water is heated in a closed container, while the fresh water flow is controlled by a water level regulator, while the expulsion of the boiling water through the Druch. of the steam produced during boiling.
The invention consists in the fact that, in addition to the inlet line controlled by the water level regulator, an additional inlet line is provided which bypasses this regulator and whose flow cross-section can be changed by means of an adjusting element in order to achieve various outlet temperatures below the boiling point.
This device makes it possible in a simple manner, in addition to boiling the water, to also produce water at a lower temperature by measuring the strength of the additional water flow according to the desired temperature. It is advantageous to make the additional inflow line not completely lockable, like this:
that when the tap is open, a weak water flow is constantly flowing to the heater, which, when producing boiling water, must be so small that the amount of water fed through this wazo flow in the unit of time is below the amount of water that is passed through this wazo flow in the same time unit able to bring the amount of heat supplied by the heating device up to the boiling point.
The constant supply of water has the advantage that such a device cannot be damaged by overheating if the regulated, intermittent water flow is not fed into the heater for any reason, for example in the event of a malfunction: the control device can arrive.
Regardless of this, however, a significant advantage of the invention is that it makes it possible to provide a control device for the fuel supply: which is actuated by the water flowing through the additional supply line and blocks the fuel supply as soon as the outlet -des Heater is clogged.
In known devices for generating boiling water, the fuel supply, for example with the help of a membrane acted upon on one side, is controlled only by the pressure of the water pipe.
However, this has the disadvantage that the burner flames continue to burn if the heated water is prevented from flowing out due to any circumstance, for example a blockage, so that the water in the heater is further heated and the associated pressure increase the heater can be damaged.
In the drawing, two examples of the liquid heater according to the invention are shown in FIGS. 1 and 2; 3 and 4 show different switch positions of the heater .gemäss Fsg. 2.
In FIG. 1, 10 is a heat exchanger which consists of a pot-like container and which is provided with heating ribs 11. The cold water is supplied through a line 12 and flows through a pressure control valve 13 into the line 14, which leads to the heat exchanger 10. The pressure control valve 13 is actuated by a diaphragm 16 loaded by a spring 15, which separates two chambers 1.8, 19 from one another in a housing 17, of which the chamber 19 communicates with the outside air via a breathing opening.
The membrane 16 simultaneously actuates a gas valve 20 in a gas supply line 22 leading to a burner 21. The cold water line 14 divides into two parallel lines 23 and 24, both of which open into the heat exchanger 10.
The inlet of line 23 is controlled by a float valve 25, while the water can flow into exchanger 10 via line 24 without interruption. By means of an adjusting member 26 designed as a tap, the amount of water flowing in via line 24 can be set. If a tap 21 in the cold water supply line 1'2 is opened, the water flows through the control valve 13 into the line 14 and arrives via the line 23 and when it is open.
Tap 26 also via the additional line 24 into the heat exchanger 10. If the water level in the heat exchanger 1ü has reached a certain level, the float valve 25 closes the supply line 23. The water enclosed in the container 10 is now up to the Boiling temperature heated. When you develop the steam exerts a pressure on the water surface that promotes the boiling water in a tap line 28 leading to the point of consumption.
The control valve 13 ensures that there is always a constant pressure in the line 14 and consequently in the lines 23, 24. If you want to tap water below the boiling temperature, then the tap 26 is set so that the water can flow through a smaller hole 29 or, larger hole 29a into the container, which now @in the time unit through the line 24 without Interrupted flow of water into the heater is significantly larger than the amount of water,
which can be brought to the boil by the heating gases in the same time and expelled from the heater under steam pressure. The uninterrupted flow of water causes .therefore an increase in the liquid level in the heater 10, with the result that the float valve 25 keeps the inlet of the line 23 permanently closed. The water is brought to a temperature in the heater that is accordingly the larger amount of water is below the boiling point, and is then below that of the water pressure regulator 16,
13 set pressure is pressed into line 28. The heater is now working as a normal instantaneous water heater. Depending on the size of the amount of water set by the tap 26, water is kept at a higher or lower temperature. If the valve 25 is suddenly fully opened when the cock 26 is only slightly open, there is the possibility that the pressure under the membrane 16 suddenly drops sharply. The spring 15 would then move the diaphragm downwards and thus close the valve 20.
To avoid this, a throttle 30 is provided in line 14 to limit the maximum amount of water. The throttle can also be arranged in line 23. If the resistance was in line 14 .sufficient .gross, the throttle 30 can be omitted.
In Fig. 2 the heat exchanger also consists of a container 10 'with ribs 11'. After opening a hot water tap 27 ', the fresh water flows through the control valve 13' of a water pressure regulator into its control pressure chamber 18 '.
From there, the water branches into a line 23 ', the inlet of which into the container 10' is controlled by the float valve 25 'of the water level regulator, and into an additional water supply line 24', 24 ", which bypassing the water level control valve 25 'opens into the container 10'. The part 24 ″ of the additional water line is in this case designed as a coil which is connected to the wall of the combustion chamber 23 in a thermally conductive manner in order to cool it.
This cooling effect must not be interrupted, which is why the additional) aerator supply line 24 ', 24 "has a non-lockable minimum cross-section which is limited by a throttle 31 so that the amount of water flowing through in the time unit is smaller than the amount of water that is in the at the same time can be brought to the boil by means of the amount of heat supplied to the heater.
The throttle 31 is designed as a Venturi tube, the negative pressure side of which is connected to the diaphragm chamber 1'9 'of the water pressure regulator. What is achieved thereby is that the membrane 16 'is under the influence of the pressure drop occurring at the throttle 31, as well as under the influence of the pressure in the container 10' to which it is connected by the line part 24 ".
As long as the line part 24 ″ lying in the water flow direction behind the throttle 31 allows the water to flow freely, the membrane 1,6 ′ is predominantly under the influence of the water pressure in the control chamber 18 ′.
The regulator therefore acts as a pressure regulator which, when the float valve 25 'closes, limits the inflow of water in such a way that there is only one regulating pressure in the line 23' which is not able to control the S,
Open ohwimmer valve 25 '. However, as soon as there is a constriction in the line part 24 "(for example as a result of calcium deposits in the heated part of the pipe coil), the membrane 16 'in the chamber 19' is influenced by the water pressure in the line part 24" and now acts as a flow regulator the control valve 13 'opens so far,
that the same amount of water flows through the narrowed line part 24 ″ as before. This prevents damage to the container 10 ′ due to heating in the event of insufficient water filling.
If the pressure rises too high in the line part 24 "or in the heater 10 '(for example, by clogging the outlet 2 @ 8'), then the membrane 1 @ 6 'is moved so far down that the gas valve 20' closes under the action of the spring 15 ', and an increase in pressure leading to the bursting of the container 10' due to evaporation of the container contents is prevented.
In order to be able to tap water at a lower temperature, an adjusting device 26 'is provided as in the case of the He heater, according to FIG. 1, which is designed as a Kahm and can be operated by means of a handle 3-4, which is conveniently with a temperature scale or with the Designation "Siedend", "H, eiss";
"Warm" is provided. If "hot" water is to be tapped, the setting device 26 'is brought into the position shown in FIG. 3, in the one line 35 bypassing the throttle 31 via a path 36 with the room behind the control valve 13 'is connected.
One can. In other words, change the amount of water flowing through the additional line 24 'by means of the adjustment member 26' by adding the passage width of the bypass line 35 in whole or in part to the passage width of the throttle point 31.
Since more water is now withdrawn behind the control valve 13 ', the pressure under the membrane 16' first drops, which results in a further opening of the control valve 13 'until the pressure under the mem brane has reached the old value again.
The total amount of water flowing through .the additional water line 24 ', 24 "and through the line 23' is so large that the water level in the container 10 'rises so high that the float valve 25' closes the line 23 '. So it only flows through the line 24 ', 24 "to the loading container 10' water.
According to the enlarged water supply, the water in the container 10 'is now heated to a lower temperature and leaves the heater, which now works as an ordinary instantaneous water heater, via the tap 28', as well as the heater in Fig. 1 with corre sponding @ Stellunä the Adjustment device 26.
The maximum amount of water flowing through the bypass line 35 can be adjusted by a throttle 39. Instead of providing a bypass 35 bypassing the throttle 31, the throttle 31 can also be designed to be adjustable in a known manner, so that its mode of passage can be changed.
If you want to draw water at an even lower temperature (hot water), then by turning the tap 26 '. the space in front of the control valve 13 'is directly connected to the space 18' behind the control valve.
For this purpose, a housing bore 37 which bypasses the control valve 13 'and a channel 38 in the straw plug is seen in front of it. In the position of the tap 26 'shown in Fig. 4, the unthrottled water can pass through the channel 3.8 and the bore 37 under the membrane 16',
so. that the full water line pressure prevails under the membrane. As a result, the membrane is raised, the control valve 13 'closing the control opening and water can only flow via the path 37, 38. The unthrottled water then flows via the line 24 'and the throttle 31, and via the bypass 3.5 into the line 24 "to the container 10'.
However, the water also enters the line 23 'at such a high pressure that the valve 25' is pressed open so that water now also flows into the container via the line 23 '. The temperature of the water flowing out of the tap 2: 8 'is lower according to the larger amount of water. The control valve 13 'and the bypass route 37, 38 can also be dimensioned such that only part of the water flows unregulated over the bypass route while. the other part flows through the control valve 13 '.
In this case, the control valve does not have any effect. By setting the tap 26 'accordingly, the amount of water flowing through the bypass path 37, 38 can be adjusted and water can thus be tapped within a corresponding temperature range. The temperature of the running water can be set in the "warm" position by operating the tap 27 'by throttling the cold water supply according to the desired temperature.
