La présente invention a pour objet une mangeoire pour oiseaux, comprenant un récipient qui est destiné à contenir de la nourriture et qui a des parois ajourÚes de maniere que les oiseaux puissent puiser Ó son intérieur au travers desdites parois. Cette mangeoire est caractérisée en ce que son récipient est rigide et a un fond formant une saillie à l'intérieur du récipient, de manière que, la nourriture étant maintenue par cette saillie à la périphérie du récipient, au moins dans le bas de celui-ci, elle soit rendue accessible de l'extérieur pour les ciseaux et prenne appui contre la saillie lorsque les oiseaux exercent sur la nourriture des efforts pour en arracher des particules.
La saillie peut appartenir à une pièce de fond sur le pourtour de laquelle est fixé le bas d'un treillis qui l'entoure.
Le dessin ci-annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention par une seule vue en éléva- tion.
Un treillis métallique 1 est enroulé sur une pièce de bois ou de métal 2 et est fixé, par son bord inférieur, sur le pourtour de cette pièce qui présente une retranche 2a à cet effet, de manière que le treillis ne forme pas des aspérités disgracieuses ou gênantes sur le bord inférieur de la pièce 2. Cette dernière est en forme d'un corps de révolution et présente, au-dessus de sa partie cylindrique 2a, un cône 2b. La partie inférieure pourrait aussi être prismatique et la partie supérieure pourrait former une pyramide de même base que celle de la partie prismatique.
Le bord supérieur du treillis 1 est fixé à un tube 3 ; sur le bord supérieur de ce tube, repose un couvercle 4 que traversent, par des trous 5, un cordon 6 fixé au tube 3 par ses deux extrémités et servant à suspendre la mangeoire.
Pour remplir le récipient formé par les parties 1, 2 et 3, on soulève le couvercle 4 qui reste prêt à se remettre en place de luimême par son poids.
La nourriture introduite dans le réci pient est nécessairement en fragments plus gros que les jours du treillis qui sont, par exemple, tels que les mésanges puissent y passer leur bec. Les fragments situés audessus du cône 2b ne peuvent pas facilement être piqués par un oiseau, car l'effort du bec les déplacerait vers le milieu du récipient ; mais ceux qui sont dans le bas se serrent entre le cône et le treillis, de sorte que les oiseaux peuvent en arracher des particules comme ils le font au travers des sacs en filet connus, lesquels présentent l'inconvénient de s'user rapidement.
Il est évident que la saillie solidaire du fond peut s'élever plus ou moins haut dans le récipient et qu'elle pourrait au besoin être un noyau cylindrique réservant, entre lui et le treillis, un espace annulaire de largeur vou- lue.
